Although I didn't manage to finish every feature originally planned in this release, I hope the features, fixes and overhauls that did make it, improve the overall experience of the game.

So what's in the Update?

  • Overhauled the entire contract and scheduling system for flights. I had to get rid of the drag & drop functionality, but it should be much more stable now and not break as easily as the old system.

  • Overhauled the Tutorial / How To Play. The description of functionalities, buttons, systems, etc. is now more thorough. The "How To Play" will pop up whenever something new is discovered, except it's set to not show anymore.

  • Added a Tooltip System. Hover over buttons and buildings to see a short description of what they are / do.

  • UI Panels can now be dragged around the screen and positioned freely.

  • Changed the Start Screen to make choosing a save game file a bit more thematically approbriate.

  • Save files can now be deleted.

  • Save files are being backed up at every start of the game. You can find the last 5 backups in the installation folder of the game in case something broke (e.g. due to a update).

  • Added the possibility to change the currency in the settings.

  • You can choose now in the settings if the game should always be in the foreground or not.

  • You can also choose to play in full screen or windowed mode. Althoug this breaks the whole transparency settings, so better leave it at borderless... :D

  • Clicking on terminals shows their gate numbers making it easier to eventually delete them by not scheduling flights for those gates.

  • Increased the capacity of the fuel tanks to 50 times the old capacity. No more micromanaging the tanks. Overhaul of the resource management will come in a future update.

  • Added a small animation to the fuel tanks.

  • Added a small animation to the garages.

  • Fixed a bug where a flood of messages would appear when trying to delete a terminal.

  • Fixed a bug where too many passengers would lead to harsh frame drops.

  • Optimized the auto save to have less stutter on change of day.

  • Deleted an OpenURL()-Function which caused some security software to see the game as a thread trying to connect to an external service.

  • Added a small thank you note to the amazing community which provided me whith all the precious feedback to improve the game more and more.

Sadly, I did not manage to add terminal customization as I hoped. I made some great progress in the last weeks, after abandoning an older version of the planned system. Here is a little preview of the inside of a small terminal:

I am looking forward to all the new bugs being reported after this big update :D

See you soon!
