Lifeguard Simulator – Devlog #1: Your First Shift 🏊🌊

🏄 Welcome to the official launch of the Lifeguard Simulator project! 🏖️

In this game, we take off our shirts, grab a buoy and rush to the rescue. Our goal is to give you everything that makes the work of a lifeguard so intense. Forget about sitting bored in the sun – we have prepared an arsenal of tools that will make you beach heroes.

👁️ Monitoring tools: Stay ahead of the threat

The work of a lifeguard begins with your eyes. Before you jump into the water, you need to know where to look: ➡️ Binoculars: Your most important tool. They allow you to monitor whether anyone is drifting too far away or whether something disturbing is happening on the horizon.

➡️ Compass: The beach is huge. With it, you will always find your way back to base or quickly communicate your position. ➡️ Whistle: Your voice from a distance. When you see someone breaking the rules, use your whistle. This is a clear signal to people in the water that you are watching them and that they should return to a safe place.

🚜 Quad: Rapid response on land

You can't always get there on time. When a call comes in from the other end of the coast, you hop on your quad bike. We focused on making riding on sand fun – you'll feel every dune and bump in the terrain. It's the fastest way to get to those in need with the necessary equipment.

🌊 Battling the waves: Swimming and Boating

Water is your main enemy. You must master two ways of moving to effectively save lives:

➡️ Rescue Sprint: When a drowning person is close, there is no time for a boat. Your character has a special fast swimming mode that allows you to cut through the waves and reach the victim before they disappear below the surface.

➡️ Rowing Boat: For deeper water and difficult conditions, take a boat. This is not ‘magical’ steering – in our game, you will feel the effort involved in rowing. You must control the power of your strokes to stay on course and reach your destination efficiently.
