Liberation changes
Hi everyone!
I'm on an bender this month -- a programming bender! CGA Trek gets an update! Cell Sword gets an update, Liberation gets an update... you all get an update!
The focus of this release is tweaking the controls for Liberation.
Removing the message when input device changes so that "dual gamepads" such as HOTAS and HOSAS work much better.
Reworked pitch, yaw and rotation to make them framerate independent. This was a big change I expect some more tweaks to the default settings are likely (your feedback is invaluable here).
Added options to recreate classic Elite controls - mostly disable yaw and turn off mouse. Liberation is sort of my alt-future take on the original 1983 Elite and I love that you can play the game the same way! Roll and pitch is all any space game should ever need :D :D
Rest of the changes:
Add: Mushroom towers to Laveesti
Add: Percentages to sliders in Menu->Controls
- FixDisabled debug "fullscreen" toggle button
Fix: Roll for gamepad was inverted
Fix: Grammar error in second last mission
Change: Rework labels in Menu->Controls to give clearer indication of effect
Change: Turning and Roll Decays now default to 50% (100% now means total dampening)
Change: Update to Godot 4.6.x
My next game is Low Earth Orbit Adventures (a chill Newtonian 3D space sim set in the near future) and the Steam store page is up now if you want more info.
I really really really want to make Liberation 2. I have a killer idea and a killer design, it's just a case of finding the time and resources (money -- I mean money). If you have a feature you'd love to see in Lib 2, let me know in the forum!
Regards,
Luke
