changedDev Diary #10Welcome to the 10th Instalment of the Dev Diary Series! Its been a long Silence over the Holiday break! In that time the game has had the chance to go on sale and a few of you have been enjoying your selfs puzzling it out with friends or enjoying the puzzles on their own! Either way it has been so nice to watch you all. :)
addedThe NewsThis will also put me back on the Development Schedule I have had planned out. This may be a few weeks behind with the covid-19 Situation but still, on track for a new Update. This will be covered more now in the next part.
addedThe Inner EngineIn December I had a update planned and was on track for release in late December. Things changed when I picked up the virus and ended up Pushing it back. The Update contains some new visual and server code improvements plus some extra new secrets... :) I will be releasing this update within the next few weeks.
changedThe Inner EngineAside from the updates being made to Chapter 1 work has been powering on in-engine to create the Chapter 2 & Commissions Experience smoother then its predecessor Chapter 1. This aranges from Movement systems to Multiplayer Code cleaning to make sure the player experience is much smoother.
addedThe Inner EngineThere has been massive Visual upgrades in the development of Commissions. It has been hard to work and try to adapt to the new Desert Theme, but progress is finally looking to be in the green now. Special work has been put into dust storms with Unreals inbuilt volumetric's.
addedThe Inner EngineNight Light Test (With added lights in the sand)

Dev Diary #10

Welcome to the 10th Instalment of the Dev Diary Series! Its been a long Silence over the Holiday break! Before we begin I wanted to apologise for the delay for the Dev Diary. In the December time I was unfortunate and caught covid-19, and to top that my Current system I use to develop games was having "Issues". Im on top of it now and recovering fully from the Illness! Enough about me time to get onto the Dev Diary!

The News

We are getting back on track. We are through the holiday period of time and I'\m returning to work now. This means the develop on Levi Chronicles is back on track.

This will also put me back on the Development Schedule I have had planned out. This may be a few weeks behind with the covid-19 Situation but still, on track for a new Update. This will be covered more now in the next part.

The Inner Engine

In December I had a update planned and was on track for release in late December. Things changed when I picked up the virus and ended up Pushing it back. The Update contains some new visual and server code improvements plus some extra new secrets... :) I will be releasing this update within the next few weeks.

Aside from the updates being made to Chapter 1 work has been powering on in-engine to create the Chapter 2 & Commissions Experience smoother then its predecessor Chapter 1. This aranges from Movement systems to Multiplayer Code cleaning to make sure the player experience is much smoother.

There has been massive Visual upgrades in the development of Commissions. It has been hard to work and try to adapt to the new Desert Theme, but progress is finally looking to be in the green now. Special work has been put into dust storms with Unreals inbuilt volumetric's.

Day Light Test

Sun Set Test

Night Light Test (With added lights in the sand)

Final Visual Test

Hope you all enjoyed the visuals. Another aspect that is taking shape is the Skill Sets. Currently the Linguist skill sets are fully complete. Explorer Skill Sets are next to be created...

Music is also another major side being developed currently. I am working hard to learn and create Loop sound tracks. One of the funnest sides of making games is the music for me! :)

Its time to move on to our pipeline section!

The Pipeline

Looking at my Timeline its stretching over a years of development for the next chapter! Planning for a release of Chapter 2 around the End of the year roughly. If Im able to keep on track with my schedule.

Commissions are planned for a earlier release then Chapter 2 as that will be my testing ground for some features...

Not really much I can cover in this Section though so time to finish up!

The Community... See the Future

To finish off I want to give a big thanks for those buying and supporting the Project! Seeing that I feel so happy that people are enjoying the game! A big thanks to you all!

Thanks for coming along to this Dev Diary and cant wait to see you in the next Dev Diary!
