addedThe Inner EngineIm also using this time to give a proper crack at face rigging. Chapter 2 will require this in a few areas as you and Emilia Coleman will need to talk to the Locals in the new chapter of the Story.
addedThe Inner EngineNot too much else has happened in the Engine side of things. I have Completed the basic movement for the Characters and Refined it much more to the old Movement system. Popular demand lead to me adding crouching and a fun little mechanic...
addedThe Inner EngineThe other things being tested are the new Modular Puzzles system, just experimenting with that, managed to create some fun little arenas!
addedThe Inner EngineA little update on some old progress made is the Art side of Chapter 2. Working on some new methods to make Sand Dunes and managed to get these pretty decent looking ones. here is a sneak peak

Dev Diary #8

Hello! Welcome to the Eight instalment of the Dev Diary Series! I have been quiet the past few weeks with my work I do, It has taken up a big chunk of time. It hasn't stopped me from working on the game. I have been able to plan out a lot more!

Lets not waist time! Ill show the latest work I have been up too...

The Vision

I wont spend too much time on this part. The Latest I want to show you is my Current plan of showing progress on the games Development!

I use a tool called Trello that helps me keep track of where I am on things... I have decided to use it again to help organise the work I do, so when I come back from a long break I can easily see where I left off!

You will also be allowed to view this Here.

Lets move on!

The Inner Engine

Nothing too much to talk about in the Inner Engine this round. A lot of the work i have been focusing on is writing and Story related. Though when I need a break from writing I work on some of the Art for the next Chapter of the game, Currently the work has been focused on this lovely creation I have made that I called "Peep Creep".

I am slowly trying to increase my skills in the character art side of things so I can make good, compelling Stories. Peep Creep is the first iteration of my characters for the Commissions Gamemode.

The Plan is the players will be able to somewhat customise there character so they can make a profile for the Commissions Career status.

Im also using this time to give a proper crack at face rigging. Chapter 2 will require this in a few areas as you and Emilia Coleman will need to talk to the Locals in the new chapter of the Story.

Not too much else has happened in the Engine side of things. I have Completed the basic movement for the Characters and Refined it much more to the old Movement system. Popular demand lead to me adding crouching and a fun little mechanic...

Sliding! When your running in those tough situations you can always trust your handy slide mechanic to get out of trouble!! It has been a lot of fun making this and i cant wait to get it out too you!

The other things being tested are the new Modular Puzzles system, just experimenting with that, managed to create some fun little arenas!

A little update on some old progress made is the Art side of Chapter 2. Working on some new methods to make Sand Dunes and managed to get these pretty decent looking ones. here is a sneak peak

That's all I can show for now! Ill keep you all updated in my next Dev Diary with the Engine Progress! Lets move on!

The Pipeline

The Progress on Chapter 2 and Commissions is going steady, Haven't ran into to many issues yet. I don't have Release dates ideas yet for Chapter 2 or Commissions. It will be a slow and Steady project for now.

I do have it planned to try and release both Commissions and Chapter 2 at the same time, but if either one is finished before the other they will have separate releases.

Another thing I will put out there is I have plans to release a Demo of Commissions before its released. It will act like a Beta test in a sense. I want to get peoples thoughts and opinions of it to make it a fun game! So keep a keen eye for that.

Last thing I will mention is Voice Casting roles for Chapter 2 and Commissions are in the pipeline! I am currently planning out all the necessary details for it but soon on the Discord Server I will be hosting auditions for the new roles of Chapter 2 and Commissions. It will be completely voluntary and wont have any limits. So keep a look out for more information on that too!

The Community... See the Future

To Finish off this Dev Diary I would like to say to the community thank you for the support so far! I really love seeing it. I cant wait to start working with you guys again on Testing for bugs, Impression Testing and just in general seeing you play! Makes me happy to see that :)

Thanks for coming along to this Dev Diary! Stay Tuned for the next one!
