changedToday I’m releasing an update focused on reducing frustration and prioritizing the narrative . I realized that, at times, mechanical difficulty was preventing some players from experiencing the most important part of the game: the chance to uncover different emotional outcomes regarding Lenin's life.
changedWhat changed:
changedRebalancing Amir and Liane's Mansion area: Trap density has been reduced (I SLIGHTLY cleaned up the scenery) and error tolerance has been significantly increased (the error variable limit was raised from 15 to 25). The goal is to maintain the tension of the challenge, but without unfair punishment or pure frustration.
changedMore accessible narrative: I adjusted the event flow in Part 4 that relied on the player choosing to join the music class within a very small time window. Now, the crucial dialogues that explain this part can be unlocked both the first time you visit the school and during the lunch recess . You will have access to the full story more organically.

Hello everyone,

Lenin - The Lion is a story about overcoming struggles, and 6 years after release, I am still listening to your feedback to make this experience the best it can be.

Today I’m releasing an update focused on reducing frustration and prioritizing the narrative. I realized that, at times, mechanical difficulty was preventing some players from experiencing the most important part of the game: the chance to uncover different emotional outcomes regarding Lenin's life.

What changed:

  • Rebalancing Amir and Liane's Mansion areaTrap density has been reduced (I SLIGHTLY cleaned up the scenery) and error tolerance has been significantly increased (the error variable limit was raised from 15 to 25). The goal is to maintain the tension of the challenge, but without unfair punishment or pure frustration.
  • More accessible narrativeI adjusted the event flow in Part 4 that relied on the player choosing to join the music class within a very small time window. Now, the crucial dialogues that explain this part can be unlocked both the first time you visit the school and during the lunch recess . You will have access to the full story more organically.

If you’ve already played, thank you for supporting this (CLEARS THROAT) classic indie game. If you were waiting for the right time to start (or got stuck along the way), now is the perfect time to help Lenin face his fears.

Thank you for playing and happy holidays!
