Steam post imageSteam post image

Range: 650
Heroic Scrappy

Wind Up
(Active Ability) Pay 50 gold to gain 25% attack speed and 15% splash damage for this wave only.
Scrappy is a long-ranged DPS fighter. Use Wind Up to predict and defend against your opponent's send.
New Mastermind: Shepherd
Shepherd
Start the game with a Sheep. You can freely reposition it each wave.
Your Sheep is loved and cannot be sold.
Sheep
Health: 200
DPS: 8
Range: Melee
Typing: Impact / Natural
Shepherd's strength lies in wave pathing manipulation. Use Sheep to pull each wave to your advantage.
New Mastermind: Evolution
Evolution
+2 income, +2 gold
Units have a final Evolved form with +12% damage reduction and +12% multiplicative attack speed
Evolving costs 10% of the value of the unit
Units with remaining upgrades cannot be Evolved
Nekomata can be evolved after reaching max stacks
Eggsack cannot be Evolved, but Hydra can
Sakura cannot be Evolved
Evolution rewards upgrading your units and comboing Evolutions with supportive units and legion spells. It also allows you to spend gold more efficiently.
With so many masterminds, we've revamped the mastermind select screen to make it easier to navigate:
New Season Skin: Sun God Nucleus
Immediately unlock the Sun God Nucleus skin for free if you achieve any 2 season goals. Otherwise, you can unlock it via the shop when it's offered next year.
Game Balance
Read more about our design philosophy on game balance, and use Drachbot to see mastermind, unit, and spell win rates and pick rates!
Masterminds
Mastermind
Number of options in your initial roll: 10 --> 11
Number of options in your reroll: 4 --> 5
This increases average roll quality, improves roll distribution uniformity, and makes reroll more clutch.
Affected masterminds: Aristocrat, Cartel, Cash Out, Castle, Champion, Fiesta, Greed, Kingsguard, Lock-In, Miner, Saboteur, Scrapper, Stash
Champion
Damage reduction and attack speed: 10.25% --> 15%
Income after wave 10: -10
With the introduction of Evolution, Champion would have been overshadowed, so we're putting more power budget into the Champion ability.
Miner
Starting gold penalty: -16 --> -15
Low pick rate and slightly low win rate.
Stash
Income: 0 --> 2
Stash starting gold: 19 --> 11
Stash gain per wave decreased by an average of 31%
Stash allows players to gain a huge and unexpected influx of gold, which makes it too coin-flippy. This change shifts some of Stash's power budget to starting income.
Fighters
Proton / Atom / Nucleus
Attack speed increased by 1.2%
Low win rate.
Pack Rat
If you full eco and don't try to clear the wave, mythium gained from Treasure Hunt is now also reduced, same as workers.
This change affects a tiny fraction of players who were taking advantage of an unintended strategy.
Gateguard / Harbinger
Summon health increased by 3.3%
Slightly low pick rate and win rate.
Royal Guard
Health decreased by 1.7%
Slightly high pick rate and win rate.
Kingpin
Base health and damage increased by 1.6%
Slightly low pick rate and low win rate.
Rogue Wave
Damage decreased by 4.5%
Too high damage for how much utility it provides.
Pipsqueak
Attack speed decreased by 2.9%
High pick rate and win rate.
Crab Warlock
Decreased mana synergy by 17%
Too strong with Starcaller and Magician. Encouraging players to upgrade to Crabomancer.
Lost Chieftain
Gaia Shield: Bonus health: 1550 --> 1600
Low pick rate and slightly low win rate.
Gatling Gun / Vulcan Cannon
Health increased by 3.3%
Low pick rate and slightly low win rate.
Holy Avenger / Sovereign
Attack speed decreased by 1.5%
Slightly high pick rate and high win rate.
Hydra
Damage increased by 2.4%
Low pick rate and slightly low win rate.
Mercenaries
Hermit
Damage decreased by 5.7%
Slightly high usage rate and win rate.
Waves
Wave 13: Drill Golems
Damage increased by 1%
Wave 14: Killer Slugs
Attack speed decreased by 1.2%
Shifting power from wave 14 --> 13.
Wave 15: Quadrapuses
Attack speed increased by 1.5%
Wave 16: Cardinals
Health decreased by 1%
Shifting power from wave 16 --> 15.
Waves 18-21
Health decreased by 12%
Feast: 0.1% health healed --> 0.5% bonus max health
Wave 20: Maccabeus
Health decreased by 15%
Feast: 0.1% health healed --> 0.5% bonus max health
Cheap unit spam and summoners like Crab Warlock are too strong in the late game.
Balance Watchlist
