Legends of Starkadia changes
Hi everyone,
We've been pretty quiet but wanted to share an update on Legends of Starkadia and what's coming next.
The Vision
Legends of Starkadia was originally planned as a massive open-world RPG spanning over 11 worlds.
Each world was designed to feel like its own episode, with a sprawling 300-page story tying everything together.
We even dabbled with a node-based map, which may look familiar if you've been following our development on Welcome to Harmony. More on that later.
The Reality
After almost two years of development, we mostly completed Scrap World, the first planet in our epic adventure.
At that point, it became clear that the scope was simply too big for a studio of our size to realize.
Where Things Landed
Unfortunately, this led to the difficult decision that we would be unable to continue.
But we didn’t feel right letting all of that work never see the light of day.
What We’re Doing Now
So instead of shelving it, we decided to turn what we built into something playable.
We’ll be releasing Legends of Starkadia as a demo, giving you a chance to experience what we've completed for yourself.
What You Can Expect
Approximately 2 hours of gameplay
Most of the first world of a much larger story
A complete experience from the very beginning to the end credits
NOT a fully polished game so expect some rough edges, weird bugs, and some questionable design decisions
Why We’re Sharing It
Legends of Starkadia means a lot to us, even if we couldn’t see it through in full.
Rather than let it collect dust, we wanted to make sure it could be experienced.
More Soon
We’ll have more details to share about the demo soon.
As always, we’d love to hear from you. Join us on our official Discord and let us know your thoughts!
