Legends of Celestite RPG: The All Bearer changes
As our first launch week ends, I want to thank you all for playing! Some are even waiting to pay full price. Wow. Thank you!!
I’ve received no bug reports from players. However, I found very minor grammar and programming errors with Chikafusa that weren’t supposed to be in the final build. DOH. A patch will roll out soon. Not a huge deal right now, though.
I do want to warn newcomers about the game’s content. This project began as a novel before it became a game, so the world is very lore-heavy. It was originally written on Wattpad from 2017 to 2019. The draft novel, still on Wattpad, is incomplete and differs from the final draft. So, I wouldn’t bother reading that old thing.
The game is just an adaptation of the draft novel. It presents key moments as they happen, but not every detail is meant to be shown directly. It's a short shonen-like adventure! The story is structured to accommodate a lot of information by revealing important flashback scenes with the characters or presenting you with the information when it is most important. So, some information, especially at the beginning of the game, is implied, explained later, or simply part of the world’s foundation. Jargon that didn’t serve cool lore or the story was cut to make the story as simple and fun as possible.
Will you be left feeling unsatisfied because it is Part 1 of a Part 2 story? Nope. Part 1 is carefully structured in a way to set up a large “explosion of action”. However, this does not mean they're aren’t “explosions of action” or death scenes in Part 1. It is a massive introduction to a grand finale that will take place in Part 2. Part 2 would be a little shorter than Part 1. Part 1 contains 90% of Kazuki’s story. (renameable main character).
With that said, the next game that will be released will likely not be Part 2: Blood & Fate yet. It will likely be a very short game that retells the events of Angelo’s youth when he received the Masamune during the Dark-Elf Revolution. Other short-story games may follow to accommodate information that is simply “told” and not “shown”. That is, if it’s important enough.
One final note: The promotional period for free Steam keys for curators and streamers has ended.
Thank you for your interest in Legends of Celestite RPG: The All Bearer. If you would like to support the project, please consider purchasing a copy of the game and signing up for Part 2’s Kickstarter page.
