Legend of YMIR changes
Following our first response in Week 1, we greet Warriors with our second 'Voice of YMIR'. After revealing our answers in Week 1, we are carefully reviewing both the passionate responses and poignant feedback sent through the Community. We feel once again that this space where we listen directly to your voices and communicate with you is the surest Compass guiding our game in the right direction. In this Week 2, rather than offering formal responses, as Director, I will candidly and honestly answer the questions Warriors have been curious about regarding 'why such issues occurred and how we will resolve them moving forward.'
Weekly Top 5 Suggestions Summary & Comments
Here are the results of our initial review regarding the top 5 topics of the week.
| Rank | Category | Summary | Comment & Target Schedule |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | Character | Skald Class Performance and Balance Improvements | [Partially Accepted] The Skald Class is a class specialized in supporting Allies classes. As such, its burst damage capabilities are somewhat lacking compared to other classes. We are carefully monitoring DPS and casting motions, and preparing a comprehensive Class Balanced adjustment. |
| 2nd | Server Transfer | Server Transfer Between Regions (Areas) for NFT Trade | [Cannot Implement] Regrettably, this feature cannot be introduced due to the need to protect the independent economic ecosystem of each region and the limitations of the physical server infrastructure. |
| 3rd | Field Boss | Major Revamp to Phantom of Loki Rewards | [Accepted] We fully agree that the rewards were insufficient relative to the time invested. As part of an overall Content reward renewal, major buffs will be applied on Tuesday, August 25. |
| 4th | Equipment | Disir Treasure Free Removal/Equipping | [Cannot Implement] You have requested this again following last week, but due to design intent, removal and equipping will not be possible. Instead, we will reduce the burden by greatly expanding sources. (8/25) |
| 5th | NFT | 'Combine Count' Display in Marketplace NFT Details | [Accepted] To ensure fair and transparent trade, this will be given top priority and applied quickly during the Marketplace UI revamp. |
Details Explanation and Direction for Key Agenda Items
Beyond simple acceptance, we would like to explain the specific direction of improvements and the reasons for rejection that you may be curious about. 1. Skald Class Balance Improvement (1st Agenda Item) All members of the development team deeply sympathize with the sense of deprivation and difficulty experienced by many Skald users. ㆍFuture Improvement Direction: We are thoroughly preparing a comprehensive Class Balanced patch—including skill casting motion optimizations and improved damage dealing Ability—so that the Skald can become more competitive not only in party play but also in overall Class preference. As Class Balanced adjustments require careful consideration, it is difficult to apply them immediately, but we will do our best to restore the unique charm of the Skald.
Reason for Inability to Implement Server Transfer Between Regions (Areas) (2nd Agenda Item) We fully understand the desire of Warriors who wish to conveniently enhance their stats or play in other regions through NFTs. However, due to two major reasons, we have made the decision that this cannot be implemented. ㆍDisruption of the Economic Ecosystem: Each region in Legend of YMIR forms its own unique user base and economic balance. If transfers between regions become freely available, there is a high risk of market price collapses or severe concentration of currency in specific regions, which could undermine the value of play for honest users. ㆍPhysical System Limitations: Under the current database and physical server infrastructure, transferring account data across continents between regions makes it difficult to guarantee technical stability.
Phantom of Loki Rewards Major Overhaul (3rd Agenda Item) As part of our player care campaign, we are carrying out a planned 10-week sequential "All Content Reward Renewal" across the game, running from the update on July 28 through September 8. ㆍPhantom of Loki Improvement (Target: August 25): We agree with the feedback that rewards like Amber Pouches and Silver Chest feel unrewarding compared to the time and effort spent. With the August 25 update as our goal, we will revamp the reward table with valuable items to give players a clear sense of motivation.
Suggestion regarding free unequipping/detaching of Disir Treasure (4th Agenda Item) Following Week 1 (Proposal to add an equipped Disir Treasure extraction system), a similar suggestion reached the Top 5 again this week. We fully understand why you continue to request this, as we are well aware of the great discomfort and frustration you experience whenever replacing treasures. ㆍReason for Non-Implementation & Alternative: As mentioned in the Week 1 response, allowing free unequipping and extraction of Disir equipment creates structural game design issues that would drastically disrupt the fun of farming and the balance of acquiring currency. Therefore, although it is a painful decision, we must clearly reiterate that this feature Cannot Be Implemented. ㆍImprovement Commitment (Target: August 25): Instead, to ensure that Warriors do not feel the need to unequip or extract them, we will expand and diversify the sources (such as Labyrinths) for Disir-related treasures and significantly activate combining through Alchemy. We will make improvements in a direction that fundamentally reduces the stress of farming.
Marketplace NFT Accumulated Combine Count Display (5th Agenda Item) We are well aware of how important the combine progress status of Summoned Creatures is as an indicator when purchasing NFT Characters. Under the principle that transparent information disclosure creates a healthy trade ecosystem, we will update the system as soon as possible so that the accumulated combine count is clearly displayed in the details section of the website Marketplace.
Additional Care and Week 1 Follow-Up Notice
[Boot Camp] Inventory Shortage Mitigation Measures To actively address the inconvenience and requests regarding inventory shortages sent by Warriors during Week 1, we distributed 50 Bag expansion slots via mail last Friday to Warriors on the Boot Camp server, who were experiencing the greatest inconvenience. This support mail can only be stored and claimed until next week. Warriors who have not yet checked their mail, please make sure to log in to the game and claim it before it expires. In addition, we are running a discount event for existing server players to ease the burden of inventory expansion, so please take full advantage of it. 2. [Week 1 Follow-Up] Clan Skill Expansion Issue Regarding the issue where Clan Skills could not be leveled up that you raised last week, we are thoroughly reviewing the Inner system structure. We will prepare an overhaul plan to expand Clan Skills as quickly as possible, targeting implementation between August and September. While not all feedback sent by Warriors can be 100% implemented, I believe the purpose of this campaign and the Director's duty is to transparently share without reservation why something cannot be done, or if it can, when and how it will be changed. I am confident that this process of listening directly to your voices and improving the game will make Legend of YMIR even stronger and more captivating. Moving forward, we will continue to actively review and carefully consider all of your feedback to further refine Legend of YMIR. Thank you. Sincerely, Kim Sung-hee, Director of Legend of YMIR
