changedGreetings, this is Kim Sung-hee, Director of Legend of YMIR.It has been a while since I last greeted you through a letter. With the recent 'Voice of YMIR' campaign, we have established a space for genuine communication to directly hear the vivid voices of our Warriors worldwide and improve the game together.
changedJuly 28] Phase 1 Improvements to Economic Balance and ConvenienceEasing gWEMIX Consumption and Expanding the Economy: gWEMIX, the core currency of Legend of YMIR, can only be acquired in fixed quantities. Therefore, simply increasing the supply or reducing the existing consumption like standard in-game currencies is not only impossible but would also cause unreasonable changes to the game's economy. Thus, rather than directly and massively increasing gWEMIX acquisition rates, we plan to introduce various methods that expand the game economy while maintaining the value of gWEMIX. The first of these methods is the equipment crafting revamp announced through the Valhalla Letter on July 23. High-tier Epic equipment, which previously required large amounts of gWEMIX to craft, will be converted to tradable items, and we will provide opportunities to craft high-tier Epic equipment that has no exchange value strictly for spec-ups. In addition, we are adjusting the consumable currencies required for various growth aspects to appropriate levels and carefully preparing events to help supply gWEMIX.
changedJuly 28] Phase 1 Improvements to Economic Balance and ConvenienceHall of Gold EXP and Reward Revamp: The Hall of Gold is an exclusive dungeon for acquiring gWEMIX that requires a specific Time Recharging Stone to enter. However, we deeply agree that its current utility falls short based on the current gWEMIX acquisition rates and EXP. Accordingly, we will increase the overall EXP of the Hall of Gold to reduce the EXP loss rate compared to standard fields and inter-server hunting grounds. Furthermore, we will revamp it so players can acquire core currencies such as 'Blue Amber,' solidifying its position as both a core currency source and a premier hunting ground.
changedJuly 28] Phase 1 Improvements to Economic Balance and ConveniencePhase 1 Clan Annihilation Battle Matchmaking Revamp: To prevent so-called 'no-shows (AFK)' or solo entries aimed solely at farming rewards, we are introducing a minimum matchmaking requirement. Entry will now be restricted if a specific number of members is not met, and rewards cannot be obtained if players are AFK. Since multiple clan members coordinate their time to enter, we hope this allows clans of similar strength to clash, earn appropriate rewards, and experience the true fun of combat.
addedJuly 28] Phase 1 Improvements to Economic Balance and ConvenienceAddition of Past Season Exclusive Item Enhancement Stones: The biggest difficulty faced by those who have not played since past seasons is enhancing past season items. While equipment could be obtained through the 'Legacy' crafting, the lack of exclusive enhancement stones created significant restrictions. Of course, it is only right that those who played diligently during those seasons maintain a strong advantage. However, for new incoming Warriors or those who failed to reach their target enhancement levels in the past, we are newly adding Past Season Enhancement Stones. Through this, meaningful spec-ups will become possible not only with current season gear but also with past season equipment.
changedJuly 28] Phase 1 Improvements to Economic Balance and ConvenienceIncreased Silver Clan Donation Limit: To alleviate the lack of funds experienced when participating in clan-exclusive content, we are significantly raising the limit for Silver donations to ensure a smooth circulation of Clan Funds.

It has been a while since I last greeted you through a letter. With the recent 'Voice of YMIR' campaign, we have established a space for genuine communication to directly hear the vivid voices of our Warriors worldwide and improve the game together.

I have carefully read through every single compliment and piece of constructive criticism you left for us. It has driven us to deeply reflect on the aspects our development team might have missed and to intensely deliberate on the direction we need to take moving forward.

Today, rather than providing a standard formal notice, I want to step forward as the Director responsible for the game and offer you my most open, honest, and candid responses to your voices.

1. Confirmed Updates and Initial Improvements

Aside from the Top 5 suggestions, we have finalized schedules for immediate implementation to quickly address the areas that caused the most dissatisfaction within the community.

[July 28] Phase 1 Improvements to Economic Balance and Convenience

  • Easing gWEMIX Consumption and Expanding the EconomygWEMIX, the core currency of Legend of YMIR, can only be acquired in fixed quantities. In addition, we are adjusting the consumable currencies required for various growth aspects to appropriate levels and carefully preparing events to help supply gWEMIX.
  • Hall of Gold EXP and Reward Revamp: The Hall of Gold is an exclusive dungeon for acquiring gWEMIX that requires a specific Time Recharging Stone to enter.

  • Phase 1 Clan Annihilation Battle Matchmaking Revamp: To prevent so-called 'no-shows (AFK)' or solo entries aimed solely at farming rewards, we are introducing a minimum matchmaking requirement. Entry will now be restricted if a specific number of members is not met, and rewards cannot be obtained if players are AFK. Since multiple clan members coordinate their time to enter, we hope this allows clans of similar strength to clash, earn appropriate rewards, and experience the true fun of combat.

  • Addition of Past Season Exclusive Item Enhancement StonesThe biggest difficulty faced by those who have not played since past seasons is enhancing past season items.
  • Increased Silver Clan Donation Limit: To alleviate the lack of funds experienced when participating in clan-exclusive content, we are significantly raising the limit for Silver donations to ensure a smooth circulation of Clan Funds.

[August 11] Clan Care and Utilization of Surplus Items

  • Improving Clan Fund Depletion Issues and Increasing RewardsThe required currencies for participating in clan-exclusive content will be significantly reduced. We will lower the entry fees for Treasure Island and Annihilation Battle by 50% and increase the number of allowed donations to facilitate smoother participation. Furthermore, we will not stop at just setting matchmaking standards; we will also increase the content rewards themselves to return the joy of victory to clan members and the fun of directly upgrading your equipment specs.
  • Registration of Past Season YMIR Cup Trophies to the Collection: You may have been disappointed that the trophies you earned by actively participating in past leagues lost their utility after the league revamp. We plan to add a special collection where you can register "Past Season YMIR League Trophies" so that your past efforts can continue to aid your character's growth. We will consistently make improvements in a direction that repays the Warriors who have shown continuous affection for Legend of YMIR.

2. Long-Term Development Goals and Suggestions Difficult to Implement

In addition to the confirmed updates, various content designed to stimulate our Warriors' interest is currently being prepared. However, in the spirit of transparent communication, I would also like to be upfront and honest about the suggestions we unfortunately cannot implement due to system structure limitations or original design intentions.

Major Ongoing Development Topics (Target: September - October)

  • Content Reward Renewal (July to September)We are planning a comprehensive revamp, including a sequential renewal of overall content rewards and the introduction of new Field Bosses.
  • Combat Convenience Revamp (Targeting September 22): We will introduce a numeric timer (HUD) for Disir skills to allow intuitive cooldown tracking, expand presets to six for more diverse combat scenarios, and implement a free class change feature for crafted Epic Valkyries.

  • World Battlefront and Shopping Cart (Targeting October): The addition of an inter-server 'World Battlefront' that combines exploration and extraction-style farming is our top priority currently under review. Furthermore, we are positively discussing with our business department the introduction of a shopping cart (automatic batch payment) system to reduce the fatigue associated with using the shop.

Suggestions That Cannot Be Implemented

  • Unequipping and Extracting Disir Treasures: Many of you requested this, but it fundamentally goes against the core design concept of Disir Treasures, so we will not be introducing an extraction feature. Instead, we will prepare alternatives by significantly increasing the sources where you can acquire treasures, such as in the Labyrinths, and by boosting combining and replacement through Alchemy.

  • Participating in Expedition Parties in Inter-Server Areas: Unfortunately, developing a system for Expedition participation within Inter-areas is impossible under the current content and system structure design. We sincerely apologize for being unable to promise this improvement despite fully knowing what our Warriors desire.

  • Past Season (Season 1) Relief System (Past Season Pass)There were suggestions for a relief system aimed at new users. However, to respect the efforts and value of our veteran Warriors who have quietly and consistently played since the beginning, we will not proceed with the Season Pass introduction requested by some players and will maintain the current state. That being said, as explained earlier, we are adding 'Enhancement Stones' that allow you to enhance past season equipment acquired through the Legacy crafting system. This will provide a partial opportunity for growth that was available in past seasons to some extent. However, because the hard work of the Warriors who actively fought through those past seasons holds precious meaning, we ask for your generous understanding that we cannot provide the full benefits for all past season content. We hope you will continue to enjoy the seasons of Legend of YMIR at your own pace.

I am confident that this process of directly hearing your voices and improving the game together will make Legend of YMIR even more solid.

We will continue to humbly accept your constructive criticism and do our absolute best to refine the game.

Thank you.

Sincerely, Kim Sung-hee, Director of Legend of YMIR
