changedI’ve been a huge fan of games with rich narratives and exciting gameplay for years. When I discovered the niche of adult games, I got enthusiastic about creating a title that would combine a deep story, the “choose your own adventure” vibe, and engaging game mechanics.
changedI immediately jumped into development – and made every mistake imaginable! My first prototype was a pixel JRPG-like game with far too much walking, talking, and wasted time. The NSFW visuals were also rough, and looking back on them now gives me a serious case of secondhand embarrassment.
addedThe second iteration improved on the visuals by introducing 3D, adding dynamic combat, and including various locations. However, the gameplay loop still didn’t feel right. I realized I was trying to cram in too many features instead of focusing on creating a fun, cohesive experience. So I began trimming all the unnecessary mechanics.
changedNow the game is in a roguelike format where you work to rebuild a small village, encounter “choose your own adventure” events, and use a relatively simple but strategically rich autocombat system. Most core gameplay features are already in place, and I’m currently testing and preparing a demo for you to try out.
changedNext time, I’ll share more about the characters. Let me know your thoughts on this initial direction in the comments, and wishlist Lecherous Village on Steam to stay updated!
