Lawn Care Simulator changes
Cheers, lawn care enthusiasts! This update brings you to new heights! We're excited to introduce our second early access content release which includes a brand new level, new tools, major performance improvements, and the beginnings of something special your own personal space inside Lawn Care Simulator. Thank you all for your continued support and we can’t wait to see what you all think of the new content!
New Level: Silver City Rooftop Cinema
Welcome to Mowapolis’s premiere rooftop theater, Silver City Cinema! This open air theater sits high above the city streets, offering stunning entertainment while you work on the rooftop lawn. Clean up after movie night, arrange the chairs, and maybe catch a film or two.. or three? Features a fully functional movie theater where you can watch films, a snack bar area, premium lounge areas, and general admission seating. This level provides a unique rooftop atmosphere. Can you unlock the secret "Triple Feature" achievement?
New Tools: Trash Harpoons
We’ve upgraded the traditional trash grabbers with extended range and a bigger bite (pun intended).
Tier 2: Trash Harpoon
Your entry level trash spearing tool. Point, throw, and watch as trash gets impaled on contact. Just try not to shoot yourself in the foot.
Tier 3: Trash Gun 9000
Steam post imageA step up from the basic harpoon. Increased range and a satisfying "bite" on impact. Inspired after those neat shark grabbing tools you probably all had at some point in your childhood.
New Feature: Personal Garage
The beginnings of your very own personal space! Visit your garage to hot swap your newly equipped tools and get a feel for what each tool has to offer. This is just a glimpse of things yet to come. We have more features and personalization’s coming soon for this personal garage area!
Quality of Life Improvements Performance Improvements (and LOTS of them):
Added distance based density culling to grass shader for significant performance gains
Added frustum culling to grass and clippings shaders, grass outside your view no longer renders
Added gradient density culling - grass further away renders at lower density
Improved static grass shader performance
Improved leaf blown clippings shader performance
Improved tool script CPU performance
Replaced and reduced a lot of verts to help with performance on larger levels
Controls:
Added ability to control riding mowers with triggers on controller
Added setting to invert Y axis
Changed controller Interact button to X/Square (was previously same as Jump)
Added leaf blower sweep controls - sweep left and right without moving the camera (I highly requested feature)
Added ability to hot swap equipped tools mid-level (currently limited to personal garage but soon to come to all levels)
UI & Display:
Made it so tools won’t auto complete truck task on level startup (tool task now pops in after completing all other tasks)
Changed certain tasks to display count (3/10) instead of percentage for trash, trash bags, and weeds to be more intuitive
Added custom timer for highlight pulse duration (you can extend or shorten the highlight feature to your liking)
Replaced most fonts for better readability
Gameplay:
Added optional task system, some tasks (like returning chairs on newest level) don't block level completion
Added ability for garbage destinations to have multiple drop off zones (all trash cans function as places to throw trash)
Improved Mansion backyard layout
Tools & Vehicles:
Greatly improved riding mower and zero turn collisions
Improved zero turn cut radius and hidden grass collection box
Fixed trailer door open height on all levels
Fixed tool highlight on trailer for all levels
