Meet Grandfather. He's Not Who He Claims to Be.
When Artyom comes home one evening, his mother greets him with surprising news: his grandfather — long believed dead — has returned. Mikhail Ivanovich is a war hero, his mother says. A man who survived impossible things. A man they should welcome with open arms.
But something is wrong from the very first night.
Five Nights. One Apartment. One Man Who Should Not Be There.
GRANDFATHER is a psychological horror set in a single Russian apartment over five nights. As Artyom, you cook dinner, do exercises, watch television, and play on your computer — but every routine moment is shadowed by the presence of a man who looks like a grandfather, speaks like a soldier, and laughs at the wrong things.
His war stories don't add up. The dates are wrong. He talks about jungles in -30°C and missions that never happened. And at night, when the apartment is quiet, you hear him muttering — about knives, about rabbits, about what should be done with disobedient family members.
A Horror About the People Who Should Be Safe
GRANDFATHER is not a game about jump scares or monsters in the dark. It is a slow, oppressive descent into the dread of recognizing that the person sleeping in your home is wrong. That your mother won't see it. That you might be the only one who does.
Themes of family enabling, generational trauma, and the quiet violence of authoritarian patriarchy run through every forced dinner and every morning roll call.
Available in Over 20 Languages
GRANDFATHER is fully localized into English, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Ukrainian, Turkish, and many more — so you can experience the story in your native language.
Wishlist GRANDFATHER today. The dinner is almost ready.
