Troubleshooting & How to Fix Softlocking

Hello!

Here's a quick post with some troubleshooting that could help you fix some issues you may be having with the game. We will be updating this page if necessary in the future.

i have found a bug/glitch/error, where can I report it so it can get fixed?

Please report any bugs, errors or glitches on our Discord Server.

I can't get a certain achievement, what is happening?

There's a chance you either aren't connected to Steam, or that the game had some issues connecting to its server. We recommend restarting the game, and checking the small status text below the Main Menu buttons to see if you're connected.

I am softlocked and cannot continue the level proplery, what should I do?

We recommend resetting the level on the "Chapters" option in the Main menu.

How to reset your Save File in case of a complete SoftLock / Loading issues with chapter selector:

If, in any case, you cannot continue playing the game because of the game saving a checkpoint with a softlock (this means, that it won't allow you to continue playing properly) or the chapter selector not loading the level properly, do the following:

1. Open the game, and while it's open, go to the following path:

   C:\\Users\\(YOUR WINDOW'S USER NAME)\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Carpincho Studio\\La Salamanca

   (You can also get there by pressing Windows + R, and pasting "AppData\\LocalLow\\Carpincho Studio\\La Salamanca")

2. Once in that folder, delete ONLY the following files:

   - colliderstate.json

   - objstate.json

   - savefile.json

   Make sure you only delete those three files and no others while the game is open.

3. Close and reopen the game.

4. Load the desired level.

I have played a certain level, but it is not available on the chapter selector, what should I do?

In that case, we can provide you a quick fix by giving you a Save File that automatically unlocks all levels. You can contact any of the devs via our Discord Server.
