Kuromaku changes
Steam post imageIt’s officially been one month since Kuromaku released, and we just want to take a moment to say thank you to every single person who supported the game. The amount of love, feedback, streams, and discussions we’ve seen over the past month has been incredible.
There has been a sale for our game every single day for the past month, and honestly… we’re beyond grateful. What started as a small project, developed over the course of a year with a budget of just $25, turned into something far bigger than we ever expected.
From me, my family, and my girlfriend — thank you. You helped a small indie developer take their first step, and because of you, we’ll be able to continue making more games in the future.
🎥 Streamer & Creator Appreciation
We also want to thank all the amazing streamers and YouTubers who showed Kuromaku so much love. Your videos, streams, and reactions helped introduce the game to so many new players.
For creators who unfortunately could not be added to this game, we sincerely apologize. We will make sure to include everyone properly in our next project, and we truly hope we can count on your support again in the future. Thank you so much for playing and sharing our game with others.
🔧 Upcoming Final Update
This upcoming update was originally planned to fix the following issues:
Getting stuck on Night 2 when trying to call someone • Falling down when spamming the spacebar during the “Open the door for me” sequence • The killer looping for longer than intended • Getting stuck near the dining room • Removing the option to go to sleep on Night 2 — you now have to face your fears
The update was scheduled to release between May 5th – May 15th. However, due to technical limitations involving file optimization and the increasing game size caused by these changes, we unfortunately will not be able to implement these fixes and additions as originally planned.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate all the support, patience, and feedback you’ve given us throughout this journey.
🧠 What’s Next
This will be our final major post for Kuromaku. From now on, future announcements will mainly focus on Steam discounts and bundles.
We’re incredibly happy with how Kuromaku turned out, and thanks to your support, we’ve already started working on our next project.
Once again — thank you for supporting Kuromaku and helping a small indie developer turn a dream into reality. This is just the beginning. 🎭
