The Cursed Realm Update is Kristala's largest content update since launch, introducing brand-new gameplay systems, expanded world-building, powerful new customization options, and significant narrative enhancements for both new and returning players.

Meet new NPC, Claude, as you uncover the mysteries of the Cursed Realm. Customize your character like never before through Transmogrification and the Rebirth Mirror, discover new equipment inspired by the enigmatic Keoza Clan, and experience new story content woven throughout the world of Ailur.

This update also includes numerous gameplay improvements, quality-of-life enhancements, bug fixes, localization updates, and continued optimization across the game.

New NPC, Questline & Mechanics

A mysterious new character has arrived in Ailur. Meet Claude, a brand-new NPC whose questline introduces several of Kristala's newest gameplay systems while laying the foundation for future content updates.

• Transmogrification, allowing players to customize their appearance while retaining the stats of their preferred equipment.

• The Rebirth Mirror, allowing players to revisit and customize their character's appearance—including fur pattern, fur length, voice, and more—at any point during their adventure.

• The Cursed Realm, an all-new gameplay feature that marks the beginning of one of Kristala's largest long-term gameplay systems.

Enter the Cursed Realm

A strange corruption continues to spread throughout Ailur. The Cursed Realm is an all-new gameplay feature that serves as the foundation for future challenges, rewards, and content updates throughout Kristala's development.

This update marks players' first opportunity to transport into the Cursed Realm through various Rifts in the world—and discover what lies beyond.

New Keoza Clan Equipment

Get your first glimpse into one of Kristala's future clans with an all-new equipment set inspired by the mysterious Keoza Clan. New additions include:

• A brand-new Keoza-themed Blazing Vermillion Armor Set

• A matching Blazing Vermillion Weapon Set

• The Flaming Horse special ability, offering players their first taste of Keoza clan magic

These new additions expand build variety while offering an early look at one of the clans still to come on Kristala's journey.

Expanded Story & World Building

The world of Ailur continues to grow. This update introduces new narrative content throughout the game, including:

• Additional lore

• New NPC dialogue

• New journals

• Expanded environmental storytelling

Existing story content has also been refined to improve pacing, immersion, and narrative flow throughout the adventure.

Gameplay, Combat & Traversal Improvements

• Fixed a conflict between quest notification widgets and dialogue that could prevent players from advancing conversations.

• Fixed an issue where using the Unstuck button while Wall Grab was active could cause unexpected behavior.

• Fixed an issue where using Unstuck while interacting with ladders could cause players to become stuck in a flying state.

• Fixed an issue where dashing while dismounting could prevent the player from rotating correctly.

UI, Menu & Inventory Improvements

• Fixed an issue where selecting Revert in the Kris Menu during Respec Mode could incorrectly consume Devotion Points.

• Holding Left Shift while using the Inventory menu now correctly scrolls the Item Description instead of the item grid.

• Holding Left Shift while using the Equipment menu now correctly scrolls the Item Description instead of the item grid.

World Improvements

• Fixed numerous minor level design, collision, environment, and traversal issues throughout Ailur to improve exploration and navigation.

Localization Improvements

• Updated Korean localization.

• Updated Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese localization.

• Synchronized in-game localization across all supported languages.

The Journey Continues

The Cursed Realm Update marks the beginning of Kristala's next major phase of development.
