addedNew Features
addedVisual Effects - We've added a slew of special effects to gameplay! Now hits have more unique and dynamic appearance, as well as the addition of more accents to several moves.
changedContent Quality Updates - There have been a few minor improvements to the content pipeline that has allowed for a small bump in visual quality across all the visual assets in-game.
addedController Support Improvements - We've updated some of our controller database and middleware to support additional controllers. We've also made significant updates to the automatic player assignment logic, and added several improvements to support hot-swapping controllers on the menu screen.
addedKenta's Rock Toss - Kenta's Rock Toss has been updated to add a stamina effect for repeated executions. Now, if Kenta repeatedly throws rocks, he gets a bit slower to hurl the next at his foes with each successive toss, until he takes a bit of a breather. This is the initial version of this update - refinement to the slowdown curve and cooldown curves will be dialed in in subsequent updates based on further playtesting.

Balancing

  • Yasu's Umbrella Kick - Fixed an issue with Yasu's Umbrella Kick that would allow it to pass through the opponent, especially when they were cornered.

  • TKO Balance - A few minor adjustments to the timer vs health ratios have been tweaked to dial down timeout frequency a bit.

General Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that caused P2 to lose controller support when returning to character select after a match in Local Versus mode.

  • Fixed issues causing improper window management and scaling on MacOS.

Until next time!
