Knights of Fiona changes
Kyoto, Japan — April 23, 2026 — CharacterBank Inc., the Kyoto-based studio behind the acclaimed VR RPG RUINSMAGUS, today announced that its upcoming title Knights of Fiona will be playable at BitSummit PUNCH, taking place May 22–24, 2026, at Miyako Messe (Kyoto International Exhibition Hall) at 1F-B05. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to experience the VR action JRPG firsthand on the show floor.
Knights of Fiona transports players to the vibrant fantasy kingdom of Gallia, where fierce dragons roam. Players take on the role of one of Fiona's sworn knights, embarking on an epic quest that can be experienced solo or cooperatively with up to two friends online. The game features deep character-driven storytelling, a diverse arsenal of weapons — including swords, bows, and mage staff — expansive environments to explore, and epic boss battles against towering dragons.
"BitSummit has always been a celebration of independent creativity, and as a studio based right here in Kyoto, there is no better place for us to put Knights of Fiona directly into the hands of players," said Shuto Mikami, CEO of CharacterBank Inc. "We've poured everything we've learned from RUINSMAGUS into this game, and we can't wait for attendees to experience the world of Gallia for themselves."
The demo at BitSummit PUNCH will give players a taste of the game's refined VR combat system, its handcrafted environments, and the cooperative multiplayer experience that sits at the heart of the adventure. CharacterBank representatives will be on-site at the studio's booth throughout the weekend to walk attendees through the experience.
Knights of Fiona recently completed a successful crowdfunding campaign across both Kickstarter and Campfire, drawing support from over 500 backers. The project also features English localization by veteran translator Nob Ogasawara, known for his work on iconic RPG franchises.
BitSummit PUNCH — themed "High Impact" for 2026 — is Japan's largest indie game festival. Friday, May 22 is reserved as a dedicated Business Day for industry professionals, while Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 are open to the general public.
Knights of Fiona is slated for release in 2026 on Meta Horizon and Steam VR.
