Repeated intro
Greetings, Knights!
What changed
- Balance
- UI and audio
- Gameplay
- Fixes
This patch was entirely dedicated to your feedback and the main issue - "I don't understand what's happening!". The foundation has been laid that will make the game much clearer and more beginner-friendly, and several nasty bugs have also been fixed and balance adjustments made.
🌟 Key Features
- Tooltip SystemBasic tooltip mechanics have been implemented. In the future, this will allow detailed descriptions to be added to any UI element.
Stat Tooltips Prepared: All key unit stats (Attack, Defense, Speed, etc.) now have text descriptions. Now you know what they mean!
- Action Points (AP) DisplayAction Points display has been added to the combat interface. Now you'll always know how many actions your unit can perform. A warning has also been added to the interface for when your action will end the unit's turn. This should help eliminate confusion with moving to border tiles.
- Difficulty ProgressionDynamic difficulty progression has been added to the run. This should make the first battles smoother and fairer, solving the "I lost on the first battle" problem.
🛠️ Bug Fixes and Other Improvements
- BalanceRanged unit attack has been reduced, while the "Thief" received an attack buff.
Visual Redesign: Starter units have been redrawn so their colors better match their Archetype.
UI: The combat exit interface (the "Surrender" / "Retreat" button) will no longer be hidden during the AI's turn.
- BugfixFixed a bug that caused the squad splitting container to not display.
- BugfixFixed a bug where targets in range were not highlighted (possibly due to overlap with border tiles).
Thank you for testing and feedback! The next patch will be focused on creating a tutorial.
