addedHappy New Years! Lots of changes have been heading to Kitchen Sync: Aloha! behind the scenes and some are finally ready to share. A new update (0.6.1f) is now available for the free Steam Demo, and the biggest change I wanted to highlight is Steam Deck support! This has been a popular request so I wanted to make sure to take the time to get it to a quality level I was happy with. My goal was to be not just compatible with steam deck, but great on it!
addedThe game is designed to be played in fullscreen mode on the Deck (you can choose this from the settings menu if Steam doesn't launch you into fullscreen on its own). KS:A! now has full controller support, so the entirety of the game can be played with the controller. Button hints will show up using the XBox controller mapping that the Valve steam deck also shares.
changedI've put in several weeks of testing on my own Steam Deck (the 512GB non-OLED) and am pretty happy with the experience, but as usual would love to hear any feedback or bugs so I can keep making improvements. Looking forward to hearing from you and sharing some big news early this year!
addedThis update also revamps the game economy and level up system, as well as fixing some bugs, adjusting some game balance, and brining general support for xbox controllers. As usual, if you're looking for weekly updates or to chat/share feedback consider joining our discord!
