Kitchen Sync: Aloha! changes
Aloha!
Kitchen Sync: Aloha!'s development has been continuing along over here at Lemonpepper HQ. We've gone a bit without a steam post, so I wanted to share some updates here! In particular, it's valentines day so let's talk character relationships!
Support Bonds
As your chefs cook together, cooperation will start to make them more than coworkers. This is not limited to the main character - whichever chefs you decide to pair for a shift will start gaining support bonds with each other. As their bond deepens, those chefs may have special support conversation scenes that help them grow closer.
Different chefs have different levels of compatibility, but every chef has several close relationships to develop. These relationships are graded C, B, and A as chefs grow tighter. A few pairs can even reach the final S level - a once-per-character decision that links two chefs together romantically. Juicy!
What's Love got to do with it?
Support Bonds have significant rewards for gameplay. At the most basic level, each support conversation gives a small, permanent stat boost - but there's a lot more. As chefs gain support levels they become more invested in your team and your restaurant. They may help out with discovering new Twists, offer to share new recipes, help share local gossip or ingredients, or more!
Schedule
Our plan remains to launch into early access (if needed) and then full release this year. Before that though, look forward to a new demo (soon!) that has many of these support features for you to try out yourself.
