King's Cup: The online multiplayer drinking game changes
Changes this release:
New beta feature to allow creating custom rulesets. This feature is in the early stages and may change in the future.
Rulesets allow the game host to customize what happens when cards are flipped. This includes updating the text and triggering minigames (thumbmaster, date, heaven, etc)
Fixes bug causing crashes and freezing when a player changes their name
Other minor bugfixes/changes
Creating new rulesets
Click here for a gif showing how to create new rules using the Ruleset Editor.
From the Main Menu select "Customize Rules" to enter the Ruleset Editor
In the Ruleset Editor menu read the instructions on the left, then select New Ruleset on the right
Replace Enter Ruleset Name... with the name of your new rules. This cannot be changed later.
Use the inputs and dropdowns listed next to each card (A, 2, 3, etc.) to customize the action. You can change the Title ("2 is you:"), the description (" chooses someone to drink!"), and the Minigame that starts (Heaven, Date, etc.).
Optionally, you can leave some fields blank. These fields will revert to the defaults for the given card.
When you are finished, select Save!
Editing custom rulesets
Click here for a gif showing how to edit custom rulesets using the Ruleset Editor.
First create a custom ruleset using the instructions above
From the Main Menu select "Customize Rules" to enter the Ruleset Editor
Using the dropdown on the right under "or edit existing ruleset" choose the ruleset you want to edit from the dropdown
You can now update any fields in the Ruleset Editor other than the name
When you are finished, select Save!
Hosting a game using custom rulesets
Click here for a gif showing how to host a game using custom rules.
In the Main Menu, click the drop down above the "Host Game" button
Select the ruleset you created using the instructions above (or select default for the default rules)
Click Host Game and invite your friends!
Note: The rules of the game are determined by the host and must be created by the host before starting a game. We are looking into options for exporting or sharing rulesets between players and friends.
