changedVisually, we wanted them to feel a bit older than the Paladins veteran Generals will recognize. Their armor is heavier and less ornate, more functional, but still proudly bearing the Linirean crest. As you upgrade the tower, you'll see them grow in rank, from sturdy footmen to fully armored knights complete with helmets and royal banners. The kind of warriors you'd expect to see riding alongside the King himself.
changedNext Friday, we'll keep building out the Kingdom with another reveal. Speaking of which, we just crossed 80,000 wishlists on Steam, thank you, Generals! To celebrate, we're letting you decide which stage we reveal next. Head over to our poll and cast your vote here.

It's Genesis Devlog Friday, and after a small detour into fan art last week, we're back to our regular deep

dives. This week, we're focusing on the front lines: the barracks. More specifically, the very first one you'll unlock in Kingdom Rush Genesis: the Knights Order.

The Knights Order is the elite military force of the Linirean Kingdom, sworn to serve the King and protect his people from anyone who would dare disturb the peace. They're the kind of warriors any king would want at his side: disciplined, loyal, and trained to hold the line no matter what. If you played the original Kingdom Rush, you might be wondering where the iconic Holy Order Paladins are. Well, this is a Linirea where the Paladins haven't yet joined ranks with the royal army as the Kingdom's default defenders. For now, the King's elite knights stand on their own.

Visually, we wanted them to feel a bit older than the Paladins veteran Generals will recognize.

Of course, the Knights Order isn't the only chivalric force in this era. In their journey to save the Kingdom, Gerald and his forces will eventually reach the Paladin Enclave, where things are far from peaceful. The Paladins are in the middle of an internal struggle, with knights loyal to the cause fighting against their former brothers, the Dark Knights, corrupted by Vez'nan. More on that later... 👀

Next Friday, we'll keep building out the Kingdom with another reveal. Speaking of which, we just crossed 80,000 wishlists on Steam, thank you, Generals! To celebrate, we're letting you decide which stage we reveal next. Head over to our poll and cast your vote here.

Until then, keep those shields up!

Onward!

Q by Richard: Considering that Lumemir helped with founding the holy order and Gerald Lightseeker was her chosen champion of his time, shouldn't the sudden appearance of a champion she specifically chose from the future be enough to get her attention?

A: Oh, she's noticed. But noticing and stepping in are two different things, she picks her champions for a reason, and that reason includes trusting them very deeply.
