Welcome, Fellow Warriors!

Today, we would like to introduce you to our new hero, but first, let’s talk a bit about heroes in general.

We want each hero to feel unique and offer a different playstyle. To show these differences, you’ll see a comparison with a familiar hero, Richard, whenever you meet someone new.

Edmund the Leper

Edmund was once a cruel and heartless tyrant, but his life changed after a terrible disease left him scarred. He realized that everything he once fought for was pointless. Edmund saw his illness and the rise of the undead as signs guiding him to his true purpose. With clerics and other followers of the Light, he began his sacred crusade.

Personal Artifact

Edmund carries the Chaplain’s Staff, an artifact given to him by the Council of the Church of Light as a sign of trust and blessing.

With this staff, Edmund gets a bonus to his Faith stat for every Mage unit in his army.

This powerful artifact gives the hero extra stats so that you can use your other equipment slots for different items.

Unique Tiles

Two of Edmund's three tiles are mainly for boosting his stats, but they work in a tricky way. You'll need to meet special conditions to get these strong bonuses. The last tile lets you trade some of your stats for faster unit growth.

Which path will you choose? Will you boost your power and win with a small squad, or give up some stats to build a huge army?

Army

Because of his artifact, Edmund works best with mages and clerics in his army. Still, you might find a way to make all your warriors count as mages. The artifact also works exceptionally well with Paladins, making them a strong choice for early strategies.

Hero Comparison

Richard relies on strong units that are easy and cheap to get in large numbers. Edmund, on the other hand, has a harder time building his army. But it's easier for him to quickly boost his stats and equip red items that help him use those stats well.

Tiles add their own features to the game. Richard's tiles are similar to each other, serve the same purpose, and are easy to use. Edmund's tiles, though, can make the game much harder if you don't use them carefully.
