Update Version 1.022 | The Goose Incident

Hi everyone!

It seems rule 33 turned out to be referring to both the troll AND the speedrunners. That goose really is evil! I am referring to the funny exploit that was found by Phoenix Flare, where they made their game window so wide they could immediately grab the goose and skip the entire chess game. It has been fixed now, but thanks for the laugh!

In general I felt the goose ending was a bit too obtuse after hearing your feedback about it. So this patch I changed some things around. Let me know what you think of the changes!

Changes

• Goose ending achiement name has been changed from "Animality!" to "Bon Voyage!".

• Goose ending is now easier to trigger.

  You can now also stick pieces on the goose while it is walking on the board, instead of only when it is swimming.

• Speedrun mode now always resets your run when you start instead of only when in act 1 or 2.

Bugfixes

• Fixed an exploit where playing with a wide game window allowed players to grab the duck before it became active. (Thank you Phoenix Flare!)

• Gifts of knowledge now also trigger when being dropped while there is already another piece on the same tile. (Thank you Muu!)

• Fixed an issue where other rule breaks were ignored by the system when

  moving a gift.

• Fixed an issue where other rule breaks were ignored by the system when

  moving a castle.

• Fixed an issue where other rule breaks were ignored by the system when

  capturing the king with a queen.
