changedWe have been aggressively working on version 0.9.3. Our next update is planned to be larger than the previous one with changes that may have a major impact on game balance, and because of that, we would need a little more time before its release.
added🚩 Unifying Instant Kill Counterplay into a New ItemFor many new players, understanding and learning how to defend against instant kills by Knives and Blackout Vapor has been a major burden. At the same time, experienced players commonly have counter items such as Neck Guards and Gas Masks, making those instant kills almost useless against them.
removed🚩 Unifying Instant Kill Counterplay into a New ItemTo address this issue, we are currently working to introduce one unifying defensive item that protects you from grapple and all instant kills. Our goal is to make the counterplay simple: if you have this item, you are good, but only once. By making it a consumable item (and removing permanent counter utilities), we are expecting that even advanced players may have moments not having one with them. We hope this will create more strategy and back-and-forth around forcing opponents to use their counter item, as well as more opportunities for final decisive plays using Knives, Blackout Vapor, or Grapple.
added🚩 Death TipsIn the current version of KILLER INN, new players may not fully understand why they died, or what they could have done to prevent it. To improve this, we will be adding tips that appear on death, explaining what happened and what could have been done.
changed🚩 Death TipsExample when dying from Bleeding: “Bleeding can be cured with a Health Pack or by a Doctor. You can also gain resistance through Resistance Potions or Body Armor upgrades.”
removed🚩 Relief for Victims of Bad GuessesWhen a Bad Guess occurs, the player who made the bad guess is removed from the match. However, the victim is left with heavily reduced HP, which can lead to them dying soon afterward.

Dear Wolves and Lambs,

We have been aggressively working on version 0.9.3. Our next update is planned to be larger than the previous one with changes that may have a major impact on game balance, and because of that, we would need a little more time before its release.

That said, we know many of you are probably wondering what kind of updates it will include. So today, we would like to share a small look at the latest development progress!

0.9.3 Sneak Peek!

The following content is still in development and may be subject to change.

🚩 Unifying Instant Kill Counterplay into a New Item

For many new players, understanding and learning how to defend against instant kills by Knives and Blackout Vapor has been a major burden. At the same time, experienced players commonly have counter items such as Neck Guards and Gas Masks, making those instant kills almost useless against them.

To address this issue, we are currently working to introduce one unifying defensive item that protects you from grapple and all instant kills.

🚩 Death Tips

In the current version of KILLER INN, new players may not fully understand why they died, or what they could have done to prevent it. To improve this, we will be adding tips that appear on death, explaining what happened and what could have been done.

Example when dying from Bleeding: “Bleeding can be cured with a Health Pack or by a Doctor. You can also gain resistance through Resistance Potions or Body Armor upgrades.”

🚩 Relief for Victims of Bad Guesses

When a Bad Guess occurs, the player who made the bad guess is removed from the match. However, the victim is left with heavily reduced HP, which can lead to them dying soon afterward.

This has been a major source of frustration, as the innocent player who was wrongly attacked ends up carrying an unfair burden. On top of that, when a Bad Guess occurs, it can effectively result in the team losing the strength of two players, which has had a big impact on the outcome of the match.

Under the new system, the player who received damage from a Bad Guess will have their HP fully restored. With this change, our goal is to significantly reduce the burden placed on the victim of a Bad Guess.

Many other balance adjustments and new features are also currently in development. Please look forward to more updates soon!
