Karkaba Update – Training Mode, Gameplay Improvements & Major Fixes
Salam Karkaba Fighters!
We've just rolled out a major update for Karkaba focused on improving gameplay, combat responsiveness, online stability, and helping new players jump into the action faster than ever.
New Training Mode
Learning Karkaba is now easier than ever.
We've added a brand-new Training Mode that guides players through the game's controls and core mechanics step-by-step. Whether you're new to fighting games or looking to sharpen your fundamentals, this mode provides a clear path to understanding how Karkaba works.
Once you've completed the tutorial, you can enter Free Practice Mode where you can:
Test character moves
Practice combos
Experiment with different situations
Improve your skills before entering real matches
Combat & Gameplay Improvements
We've made significant improvements to the overall feel of combat.
Faster, More Dynamic Matches
Increased overall game pace for smoother and more responsive gameplay.
Improved movement mechanics across all characters.
Forward Dash, Backward Dash, Forward Jump, and Backward Jump have all been reworked with updated velocity and distance values.
Frame Data Implementation
All moves now have properly defined:
Startup frames
Active frames
Recovery frames
Hit Stun and Block Stun values have also been correctly assigned throughout the roster, creating more consistent combat interactions.
Input System Improvements
Diagonal Inputs Added
Diagonal directional inputs are now properly detected and can reliably trigger moves that require them.
Sequence Inputs Improved
Moves that require directional input sequences now execute much more consistently and accurately.
Combat System Updates
Blocking System Overhaul
The blocking system has been redesigned for greater reliability and clearer interactions during combat.
Expanded Combo System
Combo routes are now more consistent, with improved timing windows that allow moves to chain together properly.
Special Move Rebalance
We've completed a balancing pass across the roster.
Changes Include:
Damage adjustments
Speed adjustments
Recovery adjustments
In general:
Special Moves are faster.
Special Moves deal more damage.
Players can now Block or Dodge incoming Special Moves, creating more strategic counterplay opportunities.
New Feature: Ultimate Dance Moves
Every character now has their own unique Ultimate Dance Move that can be performed during gameplay.
Show off your style and celebrate your victories with character-specific flair!
UI & Controls Improvements
Match UI
Improved text color contrast for better readability during matches.
Controls Screen Redesign
The controls page has been completely reorganized:
Basic Moves section
Advanced Moves section
Combo Moves section
Special Moves now display correctly
Bug Fixes
Online & Matchmaking
Fixed cross-matchmaking between different game modes. Players will now only be matched with others who selected the same mode (Quick Match, Ranked, or Local).
Character Selection
Fixed an issue where pressing Back from the Character Selection screen during an Online Game session would not function correctly.
Combat
Multiple hitbox corrections applied across various characters and moves.
Loading Screens
Fixed an issue where the selected map was not displayed correctly on the Loading Screen.
