Today we're publishing the full list of cards in the permanent pool - the strategic backbone of KARDS under the new rotation system.
The permanent pool is the set of cards that will never rotate out of the active pool. These are the cards you can safely craft, build around, and rely on regardless of what each new expansion brings. With this expanded core now in place, the active pool will hold between 800 and 900 cards at all times, giving every Commander a stable and diverse foundation for long-term deckbuilding. Summer Expansion Teaser
As we prepare for the upcoming summer expansion, featuring a brand-new nation and fresh mechanics, we’re ready to reveal a first glimpse of what’s ahead.
For years, eagle-eyed Commanders have scouted the card pool and asked: where are the research cards for the Soviet Union and Japan?
The wait is over.
Arriving with the KARDS 2026 Summer Expansion are SOVIET MILITARY RESEARCH and IMPERIAL RESEARCH, completing the research order lineup across all of KARDS’ major WW2 nations.
SOVIET MILITARY RESEARCH
Choose One - Add AEROSANI to hand OR add EXPANDED SOVIET RESEARCH to hand.
IMPERIAL RESEARCH
Choose One - Add BALLOON BOMBS to hand OR add EXPANDED IMPERIAL R&D to hand.
Of course, many questions remain. What reinforcements will these research cards call in? How will cards like AEROSANI and BALLOON BOMBS perform on the battlefield?
We’ll begin revealing answers when spoiler season kicks off in the coming weeks. Until then, we’re eager to hear your predictions and battlefield theories.
Permanent Card Pool List
Below is the full list of cards included in the permanent card pool.
This foundation, introduced as part of the new rotation system, ensures a consistent and reliable set of tools for every Commander, while the wider active pool continues to evolve around it.
Before reviewing the list, please keep the following in mind:
ANZAC cards are not yet included. Australia and New Zealand minor nation cards will be added to the permanent pool when the summer expansion launches.
In-game indicators are coming. Once the expansion goes live, permanent pool cards will be clearly marked in the Collection menu, so you'll always know exactly which cards are safe to craft.
Some cards will change. Cards in the permanent pool may still be adjusted or reworked ahead of the summer expansion. We’ll share more details as we get closer to release.
