Kaiju Cleanup changes
It’s been a couple months since we showed you anything new, and given that your incredible support means we’ve long since crossed 180,000 wishlists, we felt it was time for a quick update.
Speaking of updates: the quickest way to hear about them is via our Discord server.
We’re all hard at work getting things hammered out for our upcoming playtests (WHICH HAVEN’T STARTED YET), but in the meantime, we wanted to give you a brief tour of our smashed-up car park level, and some of the thrilling Cleaning Activities that can happen in there.
This is all extremely early; we promise the game will look much better and also more disgusting than this.
First, look at the flurbing of this as-yet unidentified Kaiju organ.
Wow! Mystery organs like that come from Kaiju, and in our game, you will clean up these Kaiju in order to achieve your objective: cleaning up a Kaiju.
Compelling. Cathartic. Meaty. These are some words which, according to imaginary focus groups, accurately describe our video game.
Look at him go! In the hazardous environments of Kaiju Cleanup, there is a chance you - or one of your friends - may die. Should this happen, it is both good and legal to throw their corpse around like a dog toy.
Some nice (PS1-quality placeholder) fire is also in the game. It’s an autobiographical ludonarrative; it refers to the fires we’ve been putting out since we decided to make this bad boy multiplayer. Much like our real-world problems, you can hose it down with water to make it stop.
You can also arrange your meat!
In all seriousness, thank you all for the stunning support. Seeing how excited people are about Kaiju Cleanup has been bonkers and delightful. We’re really happy with how the game is shaping up, and each internal playtest is edging closer to what we want this experience to be.
We can’t wait to get it in your hands and see how you all feel about what we’ve been making. Thank you so much, and [think of a catchphrase to put here]!

Until next time,
