K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut changes
As the release date approaches, we'd love to share a look back at our development journey with all of you.
K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut is our very first PC & console game. 💖
It all started with a team of just 4 people, building K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut in Unity.
Back in August 2023, we held our first Steam playtest.
More than 1,000 players joined, and over 150 took the time to fill out our feedback survey. After the playtest ended, we used that feedback to shape the future of the game.
We held a community vote and expanded the idol lineup from 5 characters to 8.

We also showcased the game at G-STAR in Busan, Bitsummit, IGDX, G2G, and many other events to gather even more feedback.
And unexpectedly, received the Rising Star Award at the SEA Game Awards during Level Up KL 2024.
We also visited the music studio in Seoul where the original songs for the game are created.
Shorelle is one of the Music Producers we’re working with, and she has composed many K-pop songs for BTS Jin, Seventeen, TXT, NCTWish, TWICE, Nayeon, ITZY, Le Sserafim.
In 2024, we began working with PQube as our publisher. In December, they officially announced our partnership and we released our public demo.
Since then, the K-pop Idol Stories demo has been downloaded by more than 17,000 players, with an average playtime of 43 minutes, well above our expected completion time of 20–25 minutes.
Fast forward to today.
With our key team now growing to 8 developers, working with more than 20 contributors including our music producers and singers. We've gone through countless bug fixes, localization, console porting, and countless late nights...
K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut has reached more than 28,000 outstanding wishlists on Steam.
