Repeated intro
Hello everyone, We're very happy to announce that our free update 1.8.1 and Jurassic World Evolution: Claire's Sanctuary are live right now! Update 1.8.1 is available for all Jurassic World Evolution players to download right now on your chosen platforms, and includes some hugely exciting features such as: terrain painting, scenery items, Spinosaurid care and much more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvptoT8zYno Claire's Sanctuary is a brand new, major campaign expansion pack featuring the fantastic Bryce Dallas Howard reprising her role as Claire Dearing as you help her save the dinosaurs from imminent disaster! General Fixes & Tweaks
Buildings
Added a tooltip for terrain constraints caused by already-placed buildings
Show edge highlights when placing a building if the automatic flattening is beyond the maximum allowed level
Highlight a building if it is preventing a new building from being placed
Added specific messages for a building being obstructed by water (or by requiring water and being obstructed by land)
Added staff and guests information to shop tooltips
Added power consumption to building tooltips while in the power view mode
When a building is prevented from being placed by constraints with the edge of the map, highlight the boundary in red
Added tooltip for active expeditions to the Expedition Centre
Added tooltip for active research to the Research Centre
Added tooltip for active extractions to the Fossil Centre
Added a tool tip to the Hammond Creation Lab to show currently incubating dinosaurs and their progress

Dinosaurs
Sauropods are now no longer panicked by large carnivores
Dinosaurs are more likely to sleep at night
Added scenery prestige - a boost to dinosaur prestige when near individually placed natural scenery
Stopped dead dinos running their behaviour briefly on load
If a dino fight is aborted in the injured state, stop processing the fight and unmark the dinos for death
Made incubation costs consistent between min and max genome, basing the value off whatever the current max genome value is
Allow dinosaurs to be selected while obscured by forest
Text for "incubating" and "ready for release" in Hammond Creation Lab behave correctly
Decreased the vehicle threat radius, and lowered dinosaur flee timer for
vehicle threats to reduce panicking dinosaurs caused by the vehicles
Stopped dinosaurs from grazing when walking over rock or sand
Fixed an issue where a dinosaur could become stuck in its idle target
Allow very sick dinosaurs to still get angry
Dinosaurs being transported no longer contribute to enclosure population
Tweaked Carcharodontosaurus materials to fix detail issue
Fixed excessive head wobble when a dinosaur is drowsy/sick

Fences
Improve how fences (and paths) are segmented to prevent an issue were they could not be split when a section is deleted

Allow science and security guests in locations with visible audiences
Islands
Made the small and medium brush sizes smaller for the terrain painting and shrub brushes
Monorails
Support for multiple monorails on a loop track:
A route can now have multiple trains running on it.
A loop track now spawns a train at each station.
Trains on a loop now start in reverse if their station is reversed.
Trains leave slightly quicker after a storm so that the trains don't bunch up together too much
Only consider monorails for transport rating if they are properly operational
Fixed bug where the visible dinosaur count would show incorrectly when a station is deactivated
Power
Display the GUI line showing the shape of the power cable when building a substation with connected pylon
Sandbox
Set habitat requirements to 'disabled' in sandbox settings will cause wetland need to be satisfied, as well as forest and grassland
Fixed dinosaur escape setting not working correctly
Added sandbox settings menu tooltips
Sandbox settings reset now correctly resets time of day & cycle length
Stability
Fixed a UI crash when in the map
Fixed a physics system crash
Fixed crash when altering window mode display properties

Tour Rides
Display the GUI line showing the shape of the gyrosphere track when placing a gyrosphere gate
Give more freedom to the gyrosphere first person camera. Hide the guests, position the camera in one of the seats, and increase the range of turning
Follow gyrosphere that was clicked on when choosing Ride Gyrosphere
Fixed guests in gyrospheres and tour trucks to correctly represent the entertainment/science/security composition of the park guests on paths
Highlight the entire gyrosphere track during editing
Transport
The walking distance considered is now only the distance on paths from the destination monorail station to the building, as long as the source monorail station is within the allowed distance of the entrance
The allowed walking distance from monorail stations has been increased from 300 to 500 (the allowed walking distance from the entrance remains at 600)
In the transport view mode, highlight monorail stations blue or red to indicate that they themselves do or don't (respectively) have transport coverage. This ignores occupancy, but is designed to show the player whether they have placed their monorail station close enough to the entrance to pick up a connection
UI
Gate icons on the map will now reflect whether a player has set a gate to open (It will still show a closed icon for 'automatic' opening of gates for jeeps and the like)
Made the 'Manage' tab the default for all shop info panels, and the 'Dispense' tab is the default for feeders. Players no longer need to switch from the default 'Status' tab to perform regular actions
Fixed 'reset' for gameplay options menu 'Lighting Settings'
Gameplay is now paused while the InGen Database is open
Fixed incorrect image being used for Skin and scale toughness gene v1.0 research items
Tooltip when picking dinosaur tranq/medicate/transport targets will now always display dino name
Fixed gamepad icons to appear tinted a light shade of blue when displaying multiple inputs bound to a single action

Vehicles
Allow player control of height when in ACU gunner mode
Tweaked physics for AI vehicles
First person vehicle camera improvements
Rotate the camera using the current up vector, not the world vector, so it doesn't tilt weirdly when looking up/down in a car that's on a slope
Apply smoothing to the rotation when looking around
When calculating the current transform, reduce the pitch and roll so it's halfway between world space (no pitch/roll) and the vehicle's space
Added option to gameplay menu to focus on selected vehicle when clicking on it, defaults to true to match current behaviour. If set to false, don't focus on vehicle when selected, or when cycling through vehicles. Also disable gamepad movement as this is used for the vehicle control menu, as we do when using the ranger team shortcut
Fixed issue with transport helicopter getting stuck when trying to move a dinosaur
