👷‍♂️ 1.2.0 - Workers Update is live!

We've added employees to the Junkyard!

From now on, you can hire workers to help manage your scrapyard and automate some of the daily tasks. There are currently three types of employees available:

🔹 Container Workers

  • Collect and dispose of trash into containers.

🔹 Machine Workers

  • Place items into processing machines automatically.

🔹 Contract Workers

  • Deliver the required items to contract trucks.

Employees can be hired through the Laptop, where you can browse available candidates and assign them to specific tasks. For example, you can choose which container a worker should manage, such as Paper, Plastic, or Metal.

Each employee has a star rating, which determines how fast they work. Higher-rated workers are more efficient, but they also expect a bigger paycheck at the end of the day. All employees receive their wages at the end of each workday.

If you'd like to increase the maximum number of employees you can hire or unlock more job offers, check out the Employee Upgrades section.

⚠️ Important: If you assign a worker to collect a certain item category (for example, Mixed), they may also pick up items that you have set aside for later. However, employees will never take items from the Garage or from the storage area behind the garage marked with black tape on the ground.

Hire the right team and keep your Junkyard running smoothly!

Have fun 🚚
