Patch 1.1 is Live! ⚔️

Our first major update is here, bringing a complete overhaul to how match progression works, new events to discover, and important progression fixes for the long-term health of the game.

📈 New Dynamic Difficulty System

The old Megabonk-inspired timer has been removed.

In its place, we've introduced a new Difficulty Meter, inspired by Risk of Rain 2.

As you play, a progress bar will continuously fill. Every time it reaches 100%:

  • Enemies become stronger.

  • The bar resets for the next difficulty level.

  • The current difficulty multiplier is displayed so you always know how dangerous the battlefield has become.

This creates a much clearer sense of progression throughout every run while letting you prepare for the next spike in difficulty.

Steam post image 🚩 New World Event: Challenge Flags

Keep an eye out for a brand new event that can appear during your runs!

When you discover a Challenge Flag, interacting with it will start a special objective for the current match.

Each Challenge Flag randomly selects from a variety of unique challenges, making every encounter feel fresh and rewarding. Expect some fun surprises—we've got plenty of cool possibilities planned for this system.

🔓 Progression Fixes

We've fixed an issue where some characters could start already unlocked.

Unfortunately, this fix may affect existing save files, but it was necessary to ensure progression remains consistent and healthy as the game continues to grow.

We know this isn't ideal, and we appreciate your understanding as we improve the game's long-term progression.

Alongside this change, we've also rebalanced Artifact unlock costs:

  • Common Artifacts now cost more.

  • Rare Artifacts are more expensive.

  • Unique Artifacts have received the largest increase.

This better aligns progression with the value and power of each Artifact.

Thank You! ❤️
