Josh Powlison's BUTTON: Mildly Remastered Edition changes
The game hasn't had much sales movement in the past month. I know you're probably shocked, since you've dreamed about playing it nonstop (even though, from what I can tell, you haven't actually been playing it, meaning that the only logical conclusion is that you've been dreaming about it), but the reality is...
...this is a blessing in disguise!!! Though I'll admit, it's a really good disguise!!
It gives me the freedom to completely break the save system and replace it with something better! Everyone's data is lost. But the system is better. Aren't you proud of Dad?!
Notey-notes:
Fix build errors: This happened right before I built. I'm not sure if this should even be here, but it was in my Git commits! ːsunglassesDogeː
- Set day/night cycle as optionalI should've done this all along. But I didn't. But I learned! It now defaults to being more familiar, more classic; but Day/Night Cycle is still available!!!! You can change the lighting under the Graphics section.
- Improved Save/Load SystemIncidentally, this also breaks all save data for previous versions. Whoopsies! ːperretː If you have complaints, post a comment and I'll build you a new one manually. Or you can just build your own manually by clicking the button again. You know what, that makes more sense, do that!
- Tons of improvements for me behind the scenesI bought myself cheesecake! Also, pretty close to having recompilation working in Unity while in play mode. Required a smidge of rework, requires a smidge more. Includes a new system for storing and retrieving global game state.
As always,
Euphorically yours,
Josh Powlison
