changedThe year is cracking on apace - it’s hard to believe it’s September already! August was a busy month for us, and included a trip to Germany for this year’s GamesCom! Head honcho Stephen and programmer Daniel headed off to Cologne for the trade fair’s first in-person event since 2020.
changedStephen says: “It was a real thrill to be back at Gamescom this year. We spent most of the event in the business halls, talking to lots of industry friends we hadn't seen in at least 3 years, and making lots of exciting studio plans for the next few years.
added“We did get a chance to have a quick browse of the public expo, and it was amazing to see so many gamers back in one place, and share their enthusiasm for all the amazing new games on show!”
changedYou might remember from our last update that our social media manager, Hero, was nominated for a British Fantasy Award for Best Audio for their podcast, Monstrous Agonies. We're absolutely delighted to report that they won! 🥳
changedIf you’d like to check out the best of British fantasy audio fiction, search for Monstrous Agonies on your favourite podcast app or find them on Twitter @Monstrous_Pod .
changedThat’s all from us this month, but remember to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for news and updates. You can also join our Discord server, where we hold weekly hang-outs and self-promotion events with our community.

As for Jennifer Wilde, the game is now officially 'In Review' behind the scenes at Steam. All being well, we'll have our build approved soon, and will be able to announce our launch date!

It’s been a busy month for some of our team in their lives beyond Outsider, too. Lead writer Maura McHugh was over in London this weekend for FantasyCon 2022, but don’t worry if you missed it - can also catch her at this year’s Octocon, the National Irish Science Fiction Convention! Find out more at the Octocon website or follow Maura on Twitter @splinister.

As for the rest of the team, it was business as usual working on the last few bugs in Jennifer Wilde as well as cracking on apace on our super top secret projects that are yet to be announced. And I’m sure none of us felt any jealousy at all on seeing Stephen and Daniel’s holiday pics.

….nope, not jealous at all 🙃

That’s all from us this month, but remember to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for news and updates. You can also join our Discord server, where we hold weekly hang-outs and self-promotion events with our community.

See you next month!

Stephen and the team at Outsider Games.
