changedHey Jelly Squad! Hope you enjoyed the upgrade of our visuals! Now, let's dive into the physics of our jelly!
changedFirst prototype:This is the very first physical prototype of our Jelly. Stretch, shrink, jump - that's all there was to our Jelly at this stage. Interaction with the world was limited, resulting in a stiff Jelly and a less-than-ideal feel.
changedSecond prototype:We broke down Jelly's jumping animation into three parts: pre-jump, mid-jump, and landing, and adjusted the physical parameters for each.
addedSecond prototype:Another important change was the stretch and shrink interaction. Stretching and shrinking are actions that need to be frequently used and accurately controlled in Jelly Delivery. However, the feedback for stretching and shrinking was far from sufficient in the previous version. We added two extra stages to the stretching and shrinking of the Jelly, known as "Super Stretch" and "Super Shrink" in the project, which correspond to the physical performance when stretching and shrinking to the extreme.
addedSecond prototype:Even more… In subsequent updates, we built a brand-new aquatic playground for Jelly. Correspondingly, we also added more physical feedback for underwater actions! Check out how the jellies swim!

First prototype:
This is the very first physical prototype of our Jelly. Stretch, shrink, jump - that's all there was to our Jelly at this stage. Interaction with the world was limited, resulting in a stiff Jelly and a less-than-ideal feel.
Second prototype:
The first thing we modified was the jump - a hurdle every platformer game must overcome.
We broke down Jelly's jumping animation into three parts: pre-jump, mid-jump, and landing, and adjusted the physical parameters for each.
Another important change was the stretch and shrink interaction.
The last change was Jelly's eyes. After all, eyes are the windows to the soul. When flattened or falling from a high place, Jelly couldn't just remain unfazed with a poker face, right? Half of the eye interaction is controlled by the player's input, while the other half is left to the magnificent physics.
Even more… In subsequent updates, we built a brand-new aquatic playground for Jelly. Correspondingly, we also added more physical feedback for underwater actions! Check out how the jellies swim!
