Quite simply, we ran out of funding and had to make a difficult call to shift focus toward a new IP, free to play title NightSpawn , in order to secure the resources needed to continue building the experiences we believe in.

As many of you know, development on Jaws of Extinction has been paused. This was not a decision we made lightly. Quite simply, we ran out of funding and had to make a difficult call to shift focus toward a new IP, free to play title NightSpawn, in order to secure the resources needed to continue building the experiences we believe in.

We understand that this has been frustrating, and for some of you, disappointing. You’ve supported Jaws of Extinction, invested your time, and believed in its future. That hasn’t gone unnoticed, and it hasn’t been forgotten.

We want to be clear: we are not abandoning Jaws of Extinction. Our goal with NightSpawn is to create a path forward that allows us to return to Jaws of Extinction stronger and finish what we started.

As a thank you for your support and patience, we’re offering something exclusive to our Jaws of Extinction player base:

  • Five playable characters from Jaws of Extinction will be joining NightSpawn as fully playable investigators (available after playtest).

  • £15 worth of premium in-game currency

  • The first Season Pass for NightSpawn, completely free

This is our way of showing appreciation to those who have stood with us, even during a difficult transition.

We know trust is earned through actions, not just words. This is one step toward making things right and continuing this journey together.

We understand this is not going to please everyone, but we are being totally honest and open with you and all we ask is for your understanding.

Characters

You all know and love the survivors of Jaws of Extinction, and we’re proud to bring them into our new IP, NightSpawn. These characters will be available exclusively to Jaws of Extinction players as a thank you for your continued support.

While our standard character packs in NightSpawn normally include four investigators, there was one more character we simply couldn’t leave behind. Take a look at the five exclusive characters joining you in NightSpawn:

Amy Morgan

Amy returns alongside her beloved companion. Her loyal pet will accompany her during investigations.

Trystan Potts

Always ready to get his hands dirty, Trystan comes equipped with his trusty pipe wrench and tool belt.

Sophia Riggs

Wielding her katana with precision, Sophia excels in both offense and defence.

Adrian Riggs

Adrian introduces a brand-new feature that will also make its way into Jaws of Extinction: the Living Drone. His trained falcon scouts from above.

Sheriff Sen

We couldn’t leave out Sen, the outspoken and dependable Sheriff. Armed with his signature six-shooter, he’s ready to defend both himself and his team against the nightmarish cryptids lurking within NightSpawn.

These characters are more than just familiar faces. They represent the journey we’ve shared with the Jaws of Extinction community, and we’re excited to see them step into this new chapter with you.
