Update #3 - Delays, Playtests & 2,000 Wishlists!

Yo! It's been a while!

First things first - if you've been following us, you know that this "weekly" update is actually almost a month late. Let's get that out of the way: we had some (very!) unfortunate personal situations that took all our time and energy, so we went off the radar for the past 3-4 weeks.

The good news? Everything is completely fine now. We’re good, we’re back on track, and we are hustling like crazy on the game! Over the past 2 days, we've sent hundreds of new invites to the playtest, and now that we got everything under control, expect regular updates on time again!

Speaking of time... well... We'll be completely honest - we ****ed up.

The full release will be delayed to this Summer, probably mid-late July.

After the massive downtime we had, plus some rethinking regarding mechanics and the amount of content we want, we realized we just aren't going to make Q1.

This is our first game, and we made a classic first-game mistake: We thought we were smart and knew better. We didn't.

On the bright side: That extra time will allow us to deliver more content, better gameplay, more visual progression, accessibility, tighter mechanics, and overall - it will allow this game to get the treatment it deserves.

Hope you'll understand! If you want to blast us with Jester emojis in the comments, that's also legit. We've earned it! 🤡❤️

Playtest & Dev Status 🎮

The comments we got so far for the playtests are far beyond what we expected, both in quality and quantity! In short - you seem to really enjoy It's Fine 😳. That's humbling, and we appreciate every single one of you for the great feedback!

We'll continue sending playtest invites over the next 2-3 weeks, so stay tuned. (Note: If you really eager to try It's Fine but didn't get an invite, contact us)

Regarding the dev status, we focused on two things in this round:

  1. Game Stability: So far, we're looking very good in this aspect.

  2. Core Gameplay(is it fun?): Things are looking quite okay on that front as well! However, we gained a key insight from your feedback: the Overdrive system needs a bit more polish and clarity, so we are hard at work on that now.

Next Up 🔜

Once we're done iterating on the base early-game loop and mechanics, we'll start working on the Public Demo. This will include achievements, secrets, passive prestige upgrades, much more flavor content, and more 👀
