It's Fine changes
This is our first post here, and we'll be completely honest about why we changed the name and theme of the game, and what you can expect going forward!
So, lets start with what happened - this game's theme was supposed to be a crypto satire, but after getting banned from every social media we opened for over a week, we realized that:
A) That's a big issue.
B) If we ever decide to try running marketing / PR / ads it will be an even bigger issue.
C) It might also be problematic for content creators - would a big YouTuber risk playing this game and having "Crypto" in the vid title or putting lines like "get Crypto grinder now" in the description?
So after we realized the problems with our 'genius' crypto theme, we decided to change the title and theme.
Welcome to the new game: IT'S FINE.
It’s Fine is an active incremental clicker about being an indie game dev. You are building a game. The deadline is tomorrow. The backend code has evolved into a sea monster. And your Project Manager is a dog named Joe who keeps telling you everything is going to be okay.
We kept the exact art-style, gameplay, and overall look and feel of Crypto Grinder, but with a more polished theme.
We also brewed in some new systems and mechanics to play into the "It's Fine" chaotic vibes, like Overdrive - clicking rapidly will cause stations to change visuals and have special effects - for example, when Peanut gets into overdrive, he starts shooting lightning at room stations, generating resource blasts.
So that's it for now, and we'll keep updating here regularly with more content, mechanics and cool stuff we're adding to the game, and overall state of the game, progress, and demo / release timelines.
Speaking of timelines - Playtest Signups Open Soon!
We are preparing a build for playtests, which will include approx. 45minutes of gameplay, and we need brave souls to break our spaghetti code.
How to join: Click the green"Request Access"button right here on the Steam Store page.
When: We will start accepting the first wave of testers in about 2.5 weeks.
Thanks for all of you who added this game to your wishlist, honestly we thought at this point like 10 people would add this but we can now safely say we were wrong about that big time! <3
Can't wait for you to see what we've been cooking.
