Repeated intro
Hello everyone! I just wanted to take some time to give you more insight about how the development is going, and spoiler, it's going great so far! I still plan to release the game in July as my initial target was. So don't worry, everything is fine! And by the way, I plan to make a huge main game trailer+screenshot+DLC support pack annoucement in a month from now, so expect it mid June, and you'll get flushed out by the huge tidal wave in the trailer! So fasten your safety belt already!

It's Chopping Time! changes
Because the demo has been really well received, and that it didn't got a single issue since a good month and nearly a half now, I didn't really thought about giving any news to you here because I'm just working as much as I can on the main game in order to give you the most enjoyable and fun gaming experience as I can!
Working that much is really fun, because I really don't see how fast the time actually goes. It's been two months since the release of the demo, and yet I feel it was 2 weeks ago or something.
Anyway, so I've been working really hard on the main game, and I've added a lot of things compares to the demo:
I've added the last two main mechanics I needed for the full game, being the earthquakes & hail, but I also added the brilliant idea to bring in a 6th one that was not planned initially. Which is the sunbeam! Expect using your mouse area as a magnifying glass to bring on the fire everywhere!
I initially expected the earthquake mechanic to be fairly simple, but by just adding screenshake it became clear how juicy and satisfying this one will make you feel! You'll still be able to remove the screenshake in the 'pause option menu > accessibility', as I do in every single one of my game, but honestly it's the first time ever I've felt that good about having screenshakes in a game!
I've found a way to non only properly balance the full game skill tree, but also make it look like... well, you'll get your star at the top if you catch my drift!
I've looked into adding game modes, unlockable after you progress enough in the main game mode, allowing you to use only a subset amount of the forces of nature, and having a challenge to compete with it, like being the fastest player to chop down a certain amount of trees only using the lightning strikes. Among other crispy things! And it will have specific leaderboards!
Speaking of leaderboards, I've improved the visuals of the ingame achievements & leaderboards screen compares to my previous games, and it's looking neat! Check my x/twitter acount for the screenshot.
I've added a leaderboard popin, containing the current game mode specific leaderboard, along with some game's stats that are relevant with it.
I've added a Support DLC pack, that I'll give you more information about in a month or so. Because it's mostly visuals I want it to shine in your eyes then!
A color blindness system for both the ingame & skill tree, to help the 5% of the player base who have a hard time with certain colors. Being able to play smoothly my full game! Ingame you can put a highlight marker ontop of a specific tree to be able to target it more easily, and you can change the color of that marker as you wish. And in the skill tree you can select the color of your choice for the nodes (purchasable, non purchasable, already maxed out!) as well as a shape of a V, cross X, and classic diamond shape for all 3 respectively so that there is not a world where you can need more accessibility features that my game has to offer! It's so good that I tend to use it even more than the classic non color blindness mode.
Thank you again for your support, this truly means the world to me! I'm really proud of my game so far, and you can expect a fun & wonderful experience! As my intial target was, a game as pretty or even prettier than Keep On Mining! and a game as fun to play or even more than A Game About Feeding A Black Hole! Only players will tell, but you can trust me you'll love my game even more for sure! Also you saw in the demo already, that my game have a similar 'Shelldiver' skill tree animation! For even more satisfying user interface! And again, if you don't want it, you can disable it whenever you want in the 'pause option menu > accessibility'.
Have a wonderful week, and see you in mid June for the big reveal of the main game!
