Hello Technicians! 👋

A new devlog is here! After the Playtest it’s finally time to show you even more exciting things that will await you in the near future! There is always something to fix, something to check if IT WORKS! ⚡

Of course the work on the game is going faster than ever, as we are slowly preparing to show you the Demo version of the game that everyone will be able to play. During the Playtest you had the chance to fix phones! Although very popular this is not the only thing you will have to work on. You will have plenty of diverse clientele in your business, gamers, music lovers, office workers! All of this leads to plenty of different equipment that you will have to fix after some wear and tear. 🧰 Let’s take a look at two types, speakers and gamepads:

Different Design 📻

Every piece of equipment is different. While all of them can have similar issues with what is the source of the issue, parts, components are not one to one. You will have to handle getting used to different environments and builds, slowly getting to know what is where. Handling the equipment needs some getting used to.

Unscrewing 🪛

It’s not just about removing them, it’s about doing it efficiently. Choosing the right approach and getting familiar with different layouts becomes crucial, especially when you’ll be working on dozens of devices. The faster and more organized you are, the smoother your workflow will be.

Testing 🎮

Every piece of equipment will have its little quirks and characteristics. For example, when testing a gamepad, you’ll connect it to your PC via a USB cable and check its inputs using a dedicated app. Buttons, triggers, analog sticks - everything needs to respond correctly.

Of course this is not all that you will be fixing! It Works: Electronics Repair Simulator will have plenty of different equipment, different issues, tools, parts that you will learn and master while playing the game! We will also be expanding the depth of equipment with time, like adding more fixes to phones, for example formatting or installing software. 📱

It Works: Electronics Repair Simulator is still in development and we are excited to hear what things you would want to see in the game! Feel free to share it on our official Discord! 💬
