We know many of you are eager to dive into more multiplayer sessions, and we’re just as excited for everything 1.0 will bring on that front.
While we work toward launch, we’ve created a multiplayer lobby channel on our Discord so you can team up with other players in the community. You can join here: https://discord.gg/wp8j73cHwY. This channel is yours to run wild with, so feel free to post as many match requests as you’d like.
To make things simple, we recommend using Steam’s Invite Link feature. It lets you jump into games with strangers without having to add them as friends first. If you need a refresher (or you’ve never used it before), we’ve included a quick step-by-step guide below to get you set up fast.
We can’t wait to see you all meeting and playing together! Our team will also be popping into the lobby a few times a week to join matches and hang out.
Thank you so much for all the support you’ve shown It Has My Face these past few months.
How to Share a Steam Invite Link (step by step):
Open It Has My Face and head to Multiplayer.
Host a game and adjust any settings you like. "Use Local Network" needs to be toggled off for this to work.
Press Shift + Tab to open the Steam overlay.
Click the Friends icon at the bottom of the overlay.
Double-click your profile picture to open your Steam profile.
On the right side, find the green “ Join Link ” button. Right-click it and choose “ Copy link address.”
Go to Discord (or any platform you wish) and open the #multiplayer-lobby channel.
Paste your invite link, along with any extra details you want to share (how long you’ll be playing, your skill level, etc.).
Jump in and enjoy a multiplayer match with a stranger!
How to join via a Steam invite link:
Click the lobby link, most links open the Steam app directly.
If the link isn’t clickable, copy the full lobby URL to your clipboard.
Open a new browser tab (must be the address bar, not a search box).
Paste the link into the address bar and press Enter.
When the browser asks to open Steam, choose Open / Yes / Allow.
Steam will launch the lobby, accept any final prompts and join.
Thanks again for everything :)
