addedSave & Load is Finally Here!By far, the biggest thing the game lacked was a save system. When I first started developing Birates, I didn’t think about it because the game was originally structured around shorter, roguelike-style runs. But as development went on, it shifted more and more into a survival game, and a single run went from lasting 1-2 hours to 5-6 hours. That made saving essential, and after a lot of work, you can now save and load your progress.
addedSave & Load is Finally Here!To save your game, simply place a new building called the "Tent." You can save during the day by interacting with it, allowing you to continue your progress later.
changedNew Building MenuBuilding is now much more convenient! Instead of crafting a building item separately, you can now open the new Build Menu and place structures directly from there. This should make base-building smoother and more intuitive.

Now, onto Update 0.1.5 – and this one’s a big step forward.

Save & Load is Finally Here!

By far, the biggest thing the game lacked was a save system.

To save your game, simply place a new building called the "Tent." You can save during the day by interacting with it, allowing you to continue your progress later.

New Building Menu

Building is now much more convenient! Instead of crafting a building item separately, you can now open the new Build Menu and place structures directly from there. This should make base-building smoother and more intuitive.

Around 10 New Level-Up Choices

To add more variety to each run, I’ve introduced around 10 new level-up choices, giving you more ways to build your character.

Bug Fixes & Balancing

I’ve made a lot of fixes and balance adjustments, so the game should feel a bit more stable now. Let me know if you run into any issues.

If you have any suggestions, feel free to reach out to me. Thanks for playing!
