Repeated intro
Hello Goblins, Matt here! I’ve been developing Isle Goblin for 3 years now and thought it was about time I showed face. This is the first dev blog in the Goblin Research Notes series which I'll be using to update you with my progress. Long story short, I’ve signed with a publisher so now I’m working on my game full time (see ya later employment!), and I’ve been adding some pretty cool stuff. Let’s dive in. (Firstly, a BIG thanks for wishlisting! If you’re following me on YouTube, I go into more detail about what’s coming in my latest video. You can check it out below.)

addedIf you're new here, Isle Goblin, in a nutshell, will have you playing as a goblin trying to fight off the evil humans. The world is fully destructible, and you can go underground to explore, fight bosses, and gather tons of items. So, what’s new? NPC chatter: I tried a few different options, but settled on a little murmur of animal crosing-style mumbo jumbo for when an NPC is talking to you. Swimming lessons: You can now fall into water - get too close to the edge and in you go! You can head to the research station and brush up your swimming skills to gain access to new areas to explore. There's also new potions that let you swim in lava and acid, and ones that can increase swim speed. Steam post image Spider enemies: These guys are kinda creepy, so I've added an arachnaphobia mode too (it removes the legs so they become blobs.) But they will have their own biome, and without spoiling too much, there'll be an ancient town of strangely goblin-esque zombies. Who knows what sort of origin they may have had... Steam post image

Can I get your thoughts?
Another thing I've been working on recently is cover art. I'm torn at the moment, so I'd be really curious to hear what you think of some of the options I have. I really want to re-vamp the old one, and I've been practicing my digital and regular art skills. So, what do you think? Option 1, 2, or 3? You can let me know in the comments, or join us on Discord to get a more exclusive look behind the scenes at Isle Goblin's development. Option 1 Steam post image Option 2 Steam post image Option 3 Steam post image And that pretty much concludes it, folks! Thanks again for all your support and for wishlisting Isle Goblin, it really helps my game get noticed. I'll be back soon with more updates! Matt
