addedThe idea for Island Time VR came from one of our team members during some downtime. Who hasn’t wondered if they could survive on a remote island? Surely you’ve spent entire weekends pondering, “what’s the one thing I’d take with me if I was stranded on an island?” In that spirit, our team began thinking of what would make a VR survival game fun. The guy who had the idea, Alessandro Kitchener, quickly prototyped the concept with the team in a day. We found a lot of potential in the concept from that first play session. We loved that a tiny island could give the player a natural bounds for VR gameplay. Between spearing fish, collecting resources and dealing with fire, there’s a lot of physical movement for VR players. We are BEYOND happy to have collaborated with Greg Miller from Kinda Funny for the voice of Carl the Crab, your only companion on the Island. Greg really brought Carl to life with a hilarious and earnest voice – somewhere between Kimmy Schmidt and Nathan Fillion – which you can get a taste of in our new trailer. https://youtu.be/vldxHJUo3Wk So, we’ll be looking forward to seeing you survive and die (again and again) on April 3rd. Just watch out for Steven Seagull. That guy is a real jerk!
