Ironseed 2 : Consensus changes
Ironseed 3: Vigil is now live.
This chapter continues the story that began with Ironseed 2: Consensus but the tone shifts. Where Consensus focused on recovery and quiet reconstruction, Vigil moves deeper into memory, responsibility, and the long consequences of survival.
You once gathered the scattered remnants of a fallen movement. Now the ship awakens fully.
In Vigil, the Ironseed becomes more than a vessel:
Reclaim and expand ship systems as fractured capabilities come back online
Engage in renewed combat, balancing power, shields, and consequence rather than reflex
Support alien populations within the BioCore - refugees, pilgrims, and survivors who now live aboard the ship
Explore a wider sector filled with archival discoveries, ancient warnings, and conflicting interpretations of history
The BioCore is not a colony simulator and not a side quest. It is a living system and one where survival, culture, purpose intertwine. Some species will heal and move on. Some will adapt. Some may not endure.
Combat returns but not as spectacle. Exploration expands but not without cost. Choice remains central and intention is never enough on its own.
With over 65,000 words of narrative, logs, encounters, and archival fragments, Vigil represents the most expansive chapter in the series so far. It is a story meant to be discovered rather than rushed - layered, optional, and persistent.
Ironseed 3 is not a reboot. It is a continuation. A progression. The next movement in a larger arc.
If Ironseed 2 was the quiet rebuilding after collapse, Vigil is the moment when purpose resurfaces and must be examined.
Thank you to everyone who explored Consensus, shared feedback, and supported the journey so far.
The silence is stirring again.
