Iron Onslaught changes
There hasn't been an update in months, and there won't be for a while, not because I'm bailing on this game, but because I'm working on v1.0.0.0.
Looking at the current state of this game, I'm not happy with what I've developed: it's boring, repetitive, and I didn't know what to do for the full release. So to take my mind off of Iron Onslaught, I decided to make another game, Warrens Of Random, learn controller support, Linux builds for PC and Steam Deck, and changeable keys. After spending a month on Warrens Of Random, I was ready to begin doing an entire overhaul for Iron Onslaught v1.0.0.0.
The Overhaul
Replacing the desert map and arctic map with around 20 new maps
Redesigning the player, enemies, weapons, and animations to be less detailed, low-poly, low frames, and sprite-based like the classic DOOM.
Drastically improving the gameplay and overall experience (the reason why the game was boring in the first place)
Adding new enemies
Adding controller support
Making builds for Linux and Steam Deck
I've started working on v1.0.0.0 in October, and I'll be uploading devlogs once I'm ready to get some initial feedback.
