addedHall of AncestorsWe now have a Hall of Ancestors, where the souls of the brave are kept for eternity. The ones who go on the journey will take all of their equipped items (+ inventory items) to their tomb, and in exchange, they provide the class bonuses for every existing hero you have (of the same class)
addedHall of AncestorsThe idea is to promote new characters and "fresh" replayability of the game :) so when you come to an end and you have brutally powerful monstrum with epic gear and full inventory.. you can send it on the journey of no return and keep the legacy of that Hero forever. Everything will be kept, and the hero will be remembered.
removedNEWAscension system: Sacrifice maxed heroes (L6+) for permanent class-wide bonuses; Hall of Ancestors, Ascension wizard (five steps: gear score, tomb items, Ancestor Power, blessings preview, title); tomb items rarity-weighted toward Ancestor Power; class blessings (e.g. Mage cast speed, Archer range); Ancestral Affinity (+10% all stats, -10% requirements when gear matches an ancestor, golden tooltip); recall ascended characters anytime, restoring the hero and removing bonuses.
changedNEWShields: Fifteen unique Warrior shields (T1–T15), off-hand with block, procs, tier art fallbacks; Luck and bonus stats on shields; Excellent options like armor.
changedNEWMage unique armor (five pieces reworked): Spell damage focus — Scholar’s Robe (Spell Surge), Robes of Reflection (Chain Cast), Ethereal Gown (Phase Shift), Ley-Line Slippers (Arcane Momentum), Eternity Robe (Infinite Power) with the same mechanical details as in the original changelog.

Hall of Ancestors

From the very beginning of the development of the Iron Legacy, I had in mind a specific picture of getting your hero into the Hall of Ancestors. Where you could come and see your "fallen" heroes who provided you with some bonuses. I just didn't know how exactly I would do that.

As I was playing my warrior (brutal monster btw..) which I was playing just to unlock the warrior ancestral class, I was thinking ... hmmm I like the items and the build and everything, but once I unlock the ancestral warrior I will stop playing this one ... I would like to somehow "keep" him. And that was the very moment I realised how I would do that. I did not want to delete or keep my items in the inventory and just left that char in the character screen. The stash was also full, so what could I do?

We now have a Hall of Ancestors, where the souls of the brave are kept for eternity. The ones who go on the journey will take all of their equipped items (+ inventory items) to their tomb, and in exchange, they provide the class bonuses for every existing hero you have (of the same class)

Everything will be kept, and the hero will be remembered.

Hope you will like this one :) I will definitely do some upgrades, but the core idea is there, and it lives in the current update :) along with the other things, which brings me to the list of changes.

Full list of changes here

NEW

  • Ascension system: Sacrifice maxed heroes (L6+) for permanent class-wide bonuses; Hall of Ancestors, Ascension wizard (five steps: gear score, tomb items, Ancestor Power, blessings preview, title); tomb items rarity-weighted toward Ancestor Power; class blessings (e.g. Mage cast speed, Archer range); Ancestral Affinity (+10% all stats, -10% requirements when gear matches an ancestor, golden tooltip); recall ascended characters anytime, restoring the hero and removing bonuses.

  • Ascension cinematic: Full-screen sequence — world fade, golden glow, hero dissolve, farewell with name and title, return to character select.

  • Shields: Fifteen unique Warrior shields (T1–T15), off-hand with block, procs, tier art fallbacks; Luck and bonus stats on shields; Excellent options like armor.

  • Mage unique armor (five pieces reworked): Spell damage focus — Scholar’s Robe (Spell Surge), Robes of Reflection (Chain Cast), Ethereal Gown (Phase Shift), Ley-Line Slippers (Arcane Momentum), Eternity Robe (Infinite Power) with the same mechanical details as in the original changelog.

MPROVED

  • World mapHover highlights farming spots and town markers; Iron/Steel/Chaos towns use strong custom icons with hover-only tooltips (redundant trader/blacksmith dots removed); only large farming spots use a filled ring/outline; satellite spots stay a thin arc.
  • Progression / stat UI: XP buffs and multipliers raise the per-kill XP cap so low-level players get full benefit; stats panel lists Boss Essence and Monster Essence on separate lines.

FIXED

  • Multiplayer / combat: Winter’s Grasp (Ancestral Chill) — damage and slow on server for all players, mirrored aura state, matching ground FX and floaters, mastery XP to owning client; Chaos Rifts and event tickets sync for all players.

  • Unique items: Vengeful Greathelm — damage stacks clear on swing including auto-attack and cleave; Tribal War-Axe Frenzy — stacking damage on kills and correct buff icon; unique [c]id[/c] saved/loaded including restore from name for old saves.
