Into the Fire changes
When we opened sign-ups for the Into the Fire Public Playtests, we hoped to gather a strong group of players ready to step into New Sindra, test the core loop, and help us shape the game before launch. What you delivered is far beyond our expectations. As we're approaching the playtests release week there are already more than 16 500 of you waiting to step Into the Fire and help us shape the future of our game.
To further prepare you for the upcoming playtests, we wanted to answer some of the most common questions we’ve been seeing from our community.
With the playtests starting on May 28th, this announcement will cover everything you need to know before jumping Into The Fire. Let’s get into it. 🔥
What will the playtest include?
If you haven't had a chance to read our recent announcement, don't worry, we've got you covered. This version of Into the Fire contains a core gameplay loop that includes extraction gameplay (going on a mission, grabbing valuable loot, rescuing survivors, and trying to extract safely through the extraction point), survival elements, Camp management (including its expansion), character development, and a crafting system.
Please bear in mind that this version is still heavily in development, so you can expect unfinished elements, balancing changes, and ongoing improvements throughout the test period. We also plan to update the playtest build regularly, so you can expect frequent updates to the build.
How long will the playtest last?
The open playtest begins on May 28th, and we’re looking forward to receiving a massive amount of feedback from everyone jumping in. Based on what we learn from your reports, suggestions, and gameplay data, we’ll decide how long the playtests should remain available. If we feel like we need to extend the If we decide to extend them, we’ll let you know on our official playtest discord server, so I highly encourage you to join us there! 😉

Community Challenge
We also want to celebrate the best moments from the playtest with the community.
During the test, we’ll be running two small community challenges that will last around 48 hours (two days if you prefer that):
Best Rescue Screenshot 📸
Capture your most cinematic, emotional, or intense rescue moment.
Best Rescue Video 🎥
Show us your best extraction or rescue sequence in motion. It would be nice if you could capture the whole rescue mission – from localizing survivors, dealing with obstacles like fire for instance, and last but not least, safe extraction.
From each category, we will select three winners. Now, how do you submit your content? That's quite simple. On our playtest Discord server, there are gonna be channels dedicated to the community challenge. All you have to do is upload a screenshot / video to the appropriate channel category #Playtest-Challenge: screenshot to #screenshots and video to #video.
The rewards? A key to The Invincible, Into the Fire when it launches in Early Access in 2026, and a special Discord Rank to let everybody know, YOU are the winner ♥️
How can I report a bug?
Bug reports will be extremely important during the playtest, and there are a few ways that you can report a bug. The easiest way to do that is to create a specific forum post on our playtest Discord server. Then, there is a special Google Form prepared inside of the playtest build, which you can use as well. And lastly, you can always create a Steam Discussion thread and describe the bug.
How can I share feedback?
We want to hear everything. What did you like? What did you not like? Did you feel pressure to choose who to rescue? What felt exciting, frustrating, tense, or memorable?
Feedback can be shared with us basically the same way as bug reports. Community feedback has already helped us shape major parts of Into The Fire, and it will continue to play a huge role moving forward, so don't hesitate to share any suggestions or ideas with us.
How can I message the developers?
The best way to reach us directly is through our official Discord server and Steam community hub.
We actively read discussions, feedback threads, screenshots, videos, and bug reports. Even if we can’t reply to every message individually, we see far more than you might think.
Watch Your Favourite Content Creators
To gather as many playtesters as possible, we've already teamed up with some of the creators that we believe are best fit for the genre. If you would like to see their struggles in Into the Fire, before you decide to hop in yourself, check out some of their creations below. Do you have a particular content creator that we should reach out to? Don't hesitate to share their channel with us down below.
See you among the flames 🔥
That’s everything for today. We’re incredibly excited to finally open the gates wider and let more players experience Into The Fire. There’s still time to sign up for the open playtest, so if you haven’t already, make sure to register and wishlist the game on Steam to stay updated on future announcements. Thank you again for all the support and see you on May 28th! 🔥
